This Twitter Account Is Renaming Everyday Objects And They’re More Accurate Than The Real Ones
Do you like to eat bagel seeds covered in cereal sauce for breakfast? Perhaps you wish to quench your thirst with a nice cold glass of snowman blood? Or maybe you've marveled at the majestic grace of the animal known as the sea flap flap? You're probably shaking your head right now, but the chances are that you've done at least one of these three things at some point in your life, just didn't know the correct names for them.
Don't worry; we haven't gone mad. Scroll down to see the funny names that we have in mind. The funny (and more than a little bizarre) descriptional and clever puns about everyday things come courtesy of @CorrectNames, a hilarious twitter account by Mark Dempsey that attributes hilarious names to everything from fruit and animals (dicknose monkey anyone?) to clothing and body parts. Imagine asking for some legos as a kid and your parents got you 5 of these
Whenever I drop something I use my feet to pick that up just like my hands so I kind of agree with this one
The northern giraffe's scientific name is "Giraffa camelopardalis camelopardalis" and means camel-leopard.
I just like how there are so many animals called "cow something" and when it gets to the cow they're like..."nope, that's a milk horse". Can't wait to find the horse name thingie.
Hm...some of these are clever and funny, but quite a few are really lame. Particularly assigning two names to one thing is a bit odd, like with the Zebra.
In dutch the slug is actually called naked snail (in direct translation) 😂
In fact, in Mandarin, lobster is dragon shrimp (龙虾), and giraffe is long neck deer (长颈鹿) :O
I love how clever these are... The only one I'd change is the snake... I'd call it the "Nope Rope"!
I tried to come up with better names but I couldn't. They were too good.
So, if a Zebra is a prison pony, doesn't that make the white tiger a Danger Prison Pony?
When life gives you lemons Call them Yellow Oranges and sell them for double the price
Hmm, #53 seems fair, since the rear on a human sometimes is refered to as "the backdoor"...
Nah! A land-boat is another name for a camper or RV. Loved the jet-ski "boatercycle" though. :D :D
Clever names, they are probably more accurate than the original ones!
My husband and I have silly names for things too....lightening bugs are Blinky Butts,a turn signal is the Blinkin' Thang.....stuff like that
Some are really good but the alternative names suggested in the comments are better than a lot of them.
