All of my cats, as an adult, have been strays. 5 strays and one I adopted from family that couldn't keep her. Best cats ever!

I found a 10 week old cat on the side of a over pass rolled into a ball trying not to get hit by a car. My son started freaking out "dad you cant block traffic on a bridge" I just told him no one is going to give me a ticket for saving a cats life. Even a cop drove by saw what I was doing and just waved.

I found my kitten in the shed, my parents got my older cat from a couple who found that a stray cat had kittens in their garage.

Nope,, Bob just walked in through the flap in the back door and decided to stay forever. Nipped him, chipped him, and named him Bob.

Our dog found one of our cats in the garage. LOL

I laughed way too hard at this. Every cat we've ever had was a stray that found us.

Yea! dogs are more needy than cats and give unselfish love.

This is so true about cats. They show up at our door, sometimes with their kittens, and we go right out and get a litter box and food and make an appointment with the vet. Lol

My family has had cats my whole life and every single one was a stray we adopted.

Both our dog and cat just followed my brother home.

That's how we ended up with our cats. One we found on the curb as a kitten and the other was frozen to the porch in a blizzard.

I got 2 out of Petsmart, one out of a hardware store, one from a rescuer. Oops I actually got 3 out of Petsmart.

I've always been one of those people that family and friends know will never turn down an animal in need. At any time there could be any kind of animal at my house. The only condition is that I won't take any aggressive animals, because I have kids. Most of them I only take care of until I've found a good place for them. So, I only have four permanent pets right now (and an escaped snake that's somewhere in the walls).

I literally found one of my cats in a dumpster. That was 6 years ago and I love her more each and every day. <3
