I am Anthony Christou an Illustrator and Concept Artist who loves making cool art. I also love coffee, video games, comics and card games. I never plan to grow up.

It is the inner child that creates this art. I paint both traditionally with Acrylics and Digitally. It is not all digital, I love all tools.

What inspired me to be an artist was my Grandfather George. He would tell me stories about Greek/Cypriot Mythology, his journeys from Cyprus to Australia. About angels and their existence and St.George who he said he saw fighting dragons in visions. This makes for great inspiration and it illuminated my imagination as a child. This experience plus traveling distant exotic lands as a child inspired me to make fantasy environments Dragons and more!

I love all cultures and mythology and have studied many histories and stories from other cultures, it inspires many of my works. I also am a writer and comic book artist and have created my own comic book series which you can read up to issue 2 for free at luminousages. Anyway my passion for art and illustration has translated into so many paintings over the last 8 years. It was time I made a book of 100 of my best illustrations and works of art.

How is all the work done? I love to use all tools from: traditional marker illustration, acrylic/oil painting to digital illustration with a Wacom Tablet or Ipad Pro.

My traditional marker illustrations can take 1-2 days. My digital paintings 3-5 days for characters. Digital illustrations of environments depending on details can take 1-2 weeks. My original Acrylic and Oils can take from 1-4 weeks depending on the size of the canvas. I have painted up to 1.5 metres by 2 metre wide canvases.

I have spent my youth drinking coffee and painting until 4:00 am but. Now that I am 36 no matter how much coffee I drink or caffeine I fall asleep by 1:30am. I prefer earlier starts now. I love painting in the morning but I do miss being a night owl artist.

I just love to draw always.I am always drawing, in hotel rooms, plane flights, in nature, at home I always draw. Just slightly obsessed. I even draw while eating!
