I still remember the first time someone showed me a card trick. It was called “Find the Lady” and I watched a Queen turn to an Ace right in front of my eyes. I was instantly hooked. That was over 30 years ago and I’ve been performing magic ever since and whilst it’s fun to bewilder adults with mind reading and sleight of hand, nothing compares to the sheer innocence, joy and wonder of a child experiencing magic.

In this series of photos myself and photographer, Mac Rovik, have tried to capture the moment a child sees a magic trick.

It was a really unique and lovely shoot and we are planning many more.
