Have you ever thought about what Lord of the Rings would look like if every single actor suddenly grew fluffy ears and a tail and were way more interested in playing fetch than bringing the Ring to Mordor? Well, this Twitter account sure has. The user known as Lady K picked out dogs that look the most like the characters from one of the most popular fantasy movies ever. Lady K shared how she came up with this idea: "I think someone said an Afghan hound looked like Saruman, and it prompted the rest." There are 18 epic characters and 18 adorable fluffers that look just like them.

What do you think of these mashups? Do you agree or would you pick some other breeds for these characters? Tell us in the comments and don't forget to upvote your favorite duo!

Here are some facts on LOTR for you. The Lord of the Rings was written by J.R.R. Tolkien and published on July 29th, 1954. It was a sequel to the Hobbit, which was published in 1937. Since then, the books have been regarded as one of the greatest works of fiction, with fantasy lovers all over the world knowing LOTR.

The first movie was released in 2001, with the other two following the next two years. The movies were an absolute hit and started a new era for fantasy. The Hobbit movies were released in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and were also well-received, with both of the franchises racking up around $3 billion in the box offices.

Lady K is obviously a fan of LOTR and has come up with the original idea to give the characters doggy counterparts. If you scroll through Lady K's social media, you can see that she is very passionate about today's issues, like inequality and Black Lives Matter. On her Twitter, she writes a little more about herself: "Feminist. Artist. Writer. Agnostic. Mother of neurodivergent daughters. Owner of Small Dog & Boy Dog. Here to rage against the dying of the light."

I have to disagree too. Eowyn is too much of a badass to be depicted as a cute/sad-eyed puppy.

Yeah she is too awesome for a tiny lapdog. Maybe a light coloured German shepherd or something badass.

Perhaps a molossoid, such as a sweet smiling pitbull? After all, if Eomer is a Boxer, there should be a family resemblance. Or perhaps a setter or a pointer?

A Nazgul is a ringwraith. The creature that it rode on was simply called a fell beast.

Maybe a rough Collie, like Lassie. Beautiful and elegant, but a tough, smart working breed

That hair, yet the beauty? Cocker Spaniel. Golden Cocker Spaniel. Not a King Charles Cavalier.
