Mailo is my dog and he is a 9 years old Jack Russel Terrier who has always been extremely photogenic and cute and he has always been everyone’s little star. He had an amazing life, he traveled a lot and had a lot of love and adventure in his life.

Few months ago Mailo was diagnosed with Glaucoma and has lost one eye. Doctors are saying that there is a big chance that Mailo will inevitably loose his other eye in the nearest future and will become completely blind.

I decided to open an Instagram account for him in order to preserve all the memories and photos of the past activities we had together since Mailo’s childhood and adulthood as well as all of Mailo’s remaining years of life in beautiful and fun photographs.

Surprisingly, even with one eye, Mailo is the cutest dog ever and now he is even more cheeky, like the little Winking Dog.

It was quite hard for us to accept that Mailo may be completely blind in 1 years time, so I was searching online for photos, help and support and there wasn’t as much out there. So I decided to open an Instagram account, to support all those visually impaired pets and of course their loving owners and say that it’s not the end of the world as it feels at first. Life goes on for pets with or without the eyesight. So far we have got one eye left and so we are extremely grateful and we will remain photogenic and socially active for as long as we live.
