Whether gazing at a vivid rainbow against a background of fierce thunderclouds or closely examining the iridescent shades of a butterfly’s wing, color plays a key role in our fascination with the world outside our front door.

The colors in nature’s palette are the colors of life. When we slow down and take the time to focus and simply notice, the natural world explodes with inspiration. 114 artists have created captivating works inspired by nature that can be experienced at The Color of Nature Virtual Exhibit hosted by Inside Small with curator, Lisa D’Amico PhD.

The first photo is Titled Balance with the colors of nature. It’s hard to find balance as a student in college. I took this in the mid-Fall time. Awareness for people needing better access to community care they don't need money or things they need good people. I loved the colors of nature in this photo. The blue water sky reflection and yellow, red, and green leaves.

My painting represents the view of the Niagara Gorge from an overlook called The Ledge. The title Air, Earth, Water derives from three of the four elements of alchemy. You can see more of my work on my Instagram @christine_defazio_arts
