I haven’t made a water/wading bird for quite a while and with the arrival of these beautiful hand made glass ‘puddles’ from a fellow artist, I knew I had to make one.
The Great Blue Heron, standing proud and haughty. I can see the difference in my birds now, they take longer but I’m being so much more careful with the work that goes into them. In the past, I would have tossed something in the bin or recycled it because of a mistake but now I painstakingly unpick and unravel and mend.
When someone buys one of my birds, I hope they can see how much love and time has gone into each stitch. It’s becoming more and more painful to let them take flight to new homes….
