Being a women, I’m sure we have all wondered when will we get married? I mean, I know I get asked that a lot, with the repeated answer I say that it’s kind of out my control and it’s when the other half asks, right?! I do all the things that a wife does, just without the title and that £10,000 grand debt of the wedding. I mean where did it even start? Like who came up with marriages? And why do we feel like that box being ticked so important, is it society, a mental box in our head, family traditions? See I am 29, a Mother of two, I know it seems back to front right. But I also think with the ever changing ways, trends, and lifestyles, couples wait so much longer, and its not even taboo anymore. Through the years, there is a considerable difference between the 1970’s average bride and groom being 8 years older. So the average age of a single woman getting married in 1971 was 22.6 years old, it is now 30.8 years old.
With the web at our fingertips and Pinterest 0.3 seconds from viewing and creating a complete Wedding gallery of Inspiration to our taste, It really is crazy to see how much Weddings mean to us. With the ever changing styles of Boho Vibes, Glitzy Glamour, Ivory Everything and how could I forget Botanical Greens. Which style do you sway towards? As a Wedding Photographer I see both sides, the beautiful set-ups and dreams becoming realities, the raw emotions and also the complete freak outs. How was your Wedding day, and what was the thing that stood out for you? Here is a collection of a styled Bridal Shoot I photographed in Cornwall, and before you ask neither of the girls are married yet.
