I don’t quite know how it happened. I have been a photographer for as long as I can remember, and about 8/9 years ago I discovered the art of self-portraiture photography.
It’s been the way I have learnt my style, but there’s become a constant theme – I often hide my face.
I don’t know why, it’s not that I hate the way I look, but I just prefer how it looks when I am looking away from the camera in my work.
I tend to shoot on location, and I feel, by showing my face the photo becomes about the person, and by turning away – you draw the viewers eye to the world around me in the photo.
