Mexico-based artist Carlos Lerma created original portraits of 57 college players that were the top prospects for this year’s recent NFL Draft. Virtually all of these incredible athlete’s were selected to join pro football organizations in advance of the 2015 football season. With this series, Lerma captures each player’s energy, celebrating the determination and passion that helped them excel during their college football careers, in advance of starting life as pro players, destined to make history.

    Trae Waynes

    Height: 6’0”. Weight: 186 lbs. Trae Waynes is a cornerback who played for the Michigan State Spartans.     Height: 6’2”. Weight: 212 lbs. Breshad Perriman is a wide receiver who played for the Central Florida Knights. Perriman is the first UCF receiver since 2006 to have gained more than 1,000 yards. In 2013 he averaged 20.8 yards per catch, and he is a perfect athletic combination of size, strength, and agility. He could be a valuable asset for any NFL team.

    Bryce Petty

    Height: 6’3”. Weight: 230 lbs. Bryce Petty is a quarterback who played for the Baylor Bears. In 2014 Petty threw for 3,855 yards, scoring 29 touchdowns while throwing only 7 interceptions. His plays tend to be repetitive, but they are almost always smart and clean, and he can put the ball wherever he needs it to be. In other words, he knows how to get the job done.

    Height: 6’4”. Weight: 231 lbs. Jameis Winston is a quarterback who played for the Florida State Seminoles. Winston is probably the top quarterback in the college league, and he is projected for a top five draft pick in the first round. To put it simply, he is a phenomenal player, and he will almost certainly become a household name if he keeps up his career.

    Leonard Williams

    Height: 6’5”. Weight: 302 lbs. Leonard Williams is a defensive end who played for the USC Trojans. During the 2014 season, Williams had 80 total tackles, 7 sacks, and 1 interception, along with 3 forced fumbles. Williams is a star player and was selected as USC’s Most Valuable Player, a position well earned. He has a bright future.
