Crews revealed that anyone can be sexually assaulted--no matter their strength, size, gender or celebrity. Coming forward is one of the bravest things anyone can do. Mocking him for sexual assault is an act of cowardice.

Sexual assault is *unwanted* sexual contact.... it has zero to do with the size / gender of the victim or the perpertrator. It is 100% about the abuse of power... and there is more kind of "power" than just physical power. The man who assaulted Terry, had career power - power to influence his career. He also, ironically, had "physical diminutiveness" as a "power", because had Terry reacted physically and hit him, the perpertrator could've easily claimed to have been the victim of physical violence, and that Terry was the "bully" (because seriously, how many men are the same size / bigger than Terry? Not many!) The perpertrator also had "ethnic" "power", because had Terry reacted with understandable violence in this case, he would've been seen as the "big black angry man" - a very very toxic stereotype regularly portrayed within the US media. So yeah... while Terry may have been physically more powerful, he had a multitude of varying "power" against him.

I applaud Terry so much for still being very polite while fighting the dummies who think he's lying about the sexual assault and for being brave enough to even stand up for himself and tell the world.

Terry, you were waay too nice to those men. You are too good.

Sometimes we worry about the louder voice of one compared to the quieter voices of thousands. We give weight to money/fame, but not actions. I was a hospital corpsman, am part of the ICU code team a Naval Medical Center, I have saved more lives and seen more deaths than those symbols of toxicity put together and I'll probably never make the money they have nor even desire their fame. But I know that people like me are worth more to the world than 99% of celebs out there trying to be funny, tough, or cute. I've studied Crews. Wasn't even a "fan" until I heard his life story and took in his ENTIRE work history, from artist, to security guard, and beyond. He's the real deal. The other ones can't even surpass the toxic scum from a stagnant pool found on the bottom of my shoe.

The people who mock persons who were sexual assaulted or say they had it coming (because of their behaviour or their clothing or sthg.) are the people most afraid of being the victim. It's an psychological defense: it won't happen to me, because i would react in another way/dress modestly/whatever. People who need to shame victims are scaredy cat crybabies who can't cope with the knowledge, that everyone could be made a victim, anytime.

The thing is Terry couldn't do anything because of his size if he tried to slap the guy or control the situation it wouldn't be in his favour as Terry was probably stronger than this guy and could do some damage even if it was self defense it would be seriously hard to prove and I doubt the guy in question would make things easier.

What in the hell is DL Hughley suggesting, that a violent physical response wipes away the assault? I used to have endless respect for Hughley -- especially his politics. I didn't expect his humanity to be this backwards. Russell Simmons' response is equally as stupid. Perhaps that is just Simmons commiserating with the offender, since he has been accused of sexual assault. What Crews has endured from stupid comments like Hughley's is assault of another kind. I hope Terry gets support from those around him.

If I was a woman I would throw myself at him just for his bravery alone. He has the muscle to kick some a*s but he uses his mind and emotion instead and that is much honorable!

It isn't just sexual assault. This attitude holds for males about domestic abuse, abuse by females at work and home, unsafe work places, military service, reactions to violent crime, pressure to be sexual (but only on another persons terms), financial or mortal objectification. In general we treat men as less than human, just in different ways. For males, it is beyond taboo to have an emotion, much less share it. Women do so much more to cause and continue toxic masculinity (which most of you have never read a damn book about), than males ever could. These idiots act the way their MOTHERS taught them to. The same bias applies to blame. We just suck as a species and i hope most of us die.

There is no excuse for someone that big to ever be sexually assaulted. I truly believe he was just looking to revitalize his dying career and get his face out in the public arena with this story.I am a man of average build so that's like me taking a five-year-old boy to court saying he touched me inappropriately and there was nothing I can do about it! Nice try terry! Sometimes you have to earn your fame through hard work and dedication, sorry to tell you!
