Celebrities Mock Terry Crews Sexual Assault Claims Because He’s Too Strong To Get Assaulted, He Shuts Them Down
While there are many strong women who have come forward for the #MeToo movement to call out the rampant sexual assault across industries – actor Terry Crews has reminded people that this is an issue that crosses gender lines. However, despite bravely sharing his story and Capitol Hill testimony against talent Adam Venit, many of his male industry peers have responded by mocking the incident.
Refusing to be shamed, Crews has responded to the toxic masculinity with eloquent responses educating people on the reality that not just women, but men also face every day. According to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network, 1 out of every 10 rape victims in the U.S are male.
Many men in the entertainment industry have mocked Terry Crews for his sexual assault allegation. Among them are rapper 50 cent

Share on FacebookCrews revealed that anyone can be sexually assaulted--no matter their strength, size, gender or celebrity. Coming forward is one of the bravest things anyone can do. Mocking him for sexual assault is an act of cowardice.
His coming forward about this is valuable to people of any gender who have suffered similarly - not just men. It's important for the general public to accept that it can happen to anybody; it's even more important for victims to see and accept that having been a victim does not mean they were weak.
Load More Replies...Also, Terry is such a gentleman, that even while debaiting to asses he still refered to them as "sir". Terry is a class act.
These are just lesser men, trying to use what happened to Terry to look more masculine. Terry you are what other men should look up to.
Physical strength is not the only way assaulters victimize. Fear of reprisal, blackmail, threats to others etc are some of the reasons victims don't fight back. Sexual harassment at work is a huge deal bc the victims' biggest fear is not physical pain but loss of their job. Terry probably thought if he immediately punched the guy who assaulted him that he would be jeopardizing the career he worked hard for and the justice system will treat him like the "angry black man" that most black men are racially profiled as. So your "there should be no excuse" conclusion is just flat out wrong.
Completely agreed! Moreover, some people are just too nice to act violent - a friend of mine is a self-defence coach and he had spent months trying to persuade a big strong man to fight back if attacked. The man had been mugged and ended up almost dying but he would not fight back in the internal fear of hurting the other. My point is, we never know where our limits and reactions are until we test them, regardless of our looks or physique. If we don't know about them, we are lucky. Nobody should ever shame ANYONE the way that these people have tried to shame Terry.
Load More Replies...Terry has been one of my favourite actors ever since I saw him in Idiocracy. (If you have not seen it yet, I recommend it). He's more of a man that those that mock him.
Sexual assault is *unwanted* sexual contact.... it has zero to do with the size / gender of the victim or the perpertrator. It is 100% about the abuse of power... and there is more kind of "power" than just physical power. The man who assaulted Terry, had career power - power to influence his career. He also, ironically, had "physical diminutiveness" as a "power", because had Terry reacted physically and hit him, the perpertrator could've easily claimed to have been the victim of physical violence, and that Terry was the "bully" (because seriously, how many men are the same size / bigger than Terry? Not many!) The perpertrator also had "ethnic" "power", because had Terry reacted with understandable violence in this case, he would've been seen as the "big black angry man" - a very very toxic stereotype regularly portrayed within the US media. So yeah... while Terry may have been physically more powerful, he had a multitude of varying "power" against him.
Yet another reason to love Terry Crews! He's an example of what it truly means to be a man and a role model.
I applaud Terry so much for still being very polite while fighting the dummies who think he's lying about the sexual assault and for being brave enough to even stand up for himself and tell the world.
Or who think it's funny. That's even more reprehensible. Does it matter how or why it happened? The important thing is that it happened and should be dealt with appropriately!
Load More Replies...I wish we could DOWNVOTE all the comments made to Terry from his so-called Friends. With friends like that, no one needs enemies! Blessings and prayers, Terry as you lead us all into the fight-we're with you!
I'd say he did a wonderful job downvoting those comments all by his lonesome. Just keep cheering him.
Load More Replies...More people should follow your example. Well done from across the pond for speaking out. To the people trying (without success) to play it down Shame on you all you people are an embarrassment to strength if character. Much love Mr Terry Crews, keep being the fantastic influence you are to so many others.
I was utterly disgusted by someone I respected's comments last year, when Terry first spoke up.
Sometimes we worry about the louder voice of one compared to the quieter voices of thousands. We give weight to money/fame, but not actions. I was a hospital corpsman, am part of the ICU code team a Naval Medical Center, I have saved more lives and seen more deaths than those symbols of toxicity put together and I'll probably never make the money they have nor even desire their fame. But I know that people like me are worth more to the world than 99% of celebs out there trying to be funny, tough, or cute. I've studied Crews. Wasn't even a "fan" until I heard his life story and took in his ENTIRE work history, from artist, to security guard, and beyond. He's the real deal. The other ones can't even surpass the toxic scum from a stagnant pool found on the bottom of my shoe.
I'm sorry..look at D.L. and then look at Terry...who do you think is currently happier with themselves? D.L. needs to STFU. He's also uneducated saying entertainers and athletes are the only ones that pay people to find them work. Practically every profession out there has an agency you can go to that you can pay to help find you work.
I would not want to get on the wrong side of Terry Crews. Dude went postal on a sports store mannequin for starters. And I bet he could easily take the crown of "World's Nicest Guy" away from Dave Grohl. Plus, no Terry, no Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and no Brooklyn Nine-Nine will make me go postal.
The people who mock persons who were sexual assaulted or say they had it coming (because of their behaviour or their clothing or sthg.) are the people most afraid of being the victim. It's an psychological defense: it won't happen to me, because i would react in another way/dress modestly/whatever. People who need to shame victims are scaredy cat crybabies who can't cope with the knowledge, that everyone could be made a victim, anytime.
This is the reason the figures for sexual assault against men are so skewed. We wont speak up because we know we would be ridiculed. Good for you Terry Crews. You are a lot stronger than you look.
The thing is Terry couldn't do anything because of his size if he tried to slap the guy or control the situation it wouldn't be in his favour as Terry was probably stronger than this guy and could do some damage even if it was self defense it would be seriously hard to prove and I doubt the guy in question would make things easier.
D.L. and 50 are toxic and gross but Russell seems particularly disgusting. I guarantee he’s raped before.
Brave Terry coming forward! Knowing he would be lambasted if he did. Sexual assault happens in male sports, look up Sheldon Kennedy. NOBODY IS IMMUNE , it can happen to anyone. Thanks Terry!
What in the hell is DL Hughley suggesting, that a violent physical response wipes away the assault? I used to have endless respect for Hughley -- especially his politics. I didn't expect his humanity to be this backwards. Russell Simmons' response is equally as stupid. Perhaps that is just Simmons commiserating with the offender, since he has been accused of sexual assault. What Crews has endured from stupid comments like Hughley's is assault of another kind. I hope Terry gets support from those around him.
Simmons has been an a*s for as long as someone has aimed a camera at him. Don't expect him to change now.
Load More Replies...That just proves that many celebrities are the biggest hypocrites pos ever existed.
The guys who are being so nasty are afraid. Afraid that if a big guy like Terry can be abused, then so could they, so they join the side of the abusers and point their fingers so that they can say 'look, look, I'm a tough guy, nobody's gonna stick his *&^% up me like a little girl, like I do to my woman, I'm a REAL man, see, see?' To homophobes and lesser scaredy cats, being attacked this way is like being a woman, which is the worst possible insult to them. Think about that.
Now this is a role model. Do what’s right, and stand tall! I love Terry Crews. And Yoghurt.
If I was a woman I would throw myself at him just for his bravery alone. He has the muscle to kick some a*s but he uses his mind and emotion instead and that is much honorable!
I'm now mentally replacing DL Hughley with Terry Crews as Christopher Turk's brother.
Where are those who will say, he asked for it by what he is wearing (or not wearing), or he is dressed like a s**t, so he deserved it?!?!?
totally still sounds funny that Terry Crews was assaulted, its actually hard to believe . meanwhile check my blog: http://www.first-rateonlinepharma.com/
So you see, its not really "Believe All Women", its "Only Believe Women".
No, no; you don't understand! According to these--ahem!--people, Real Men can't be raped. And yes, that is indeed snark. The problem with a patrilineal society is that only the weaker sex, or inferiors, can be raped. Therefore, in our culture, it is impossible to rape a man, 'unless he wants it', in which case he of course isn't really a man. As a culture, we're sick. ANd this goes back to good old patriarchal Rome.
