I basically make about $6,000-$8,000 a month online. It’s enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 10-13 hours a week from home. I was amazed how easy it was after I tried it….. ===))> 𝐖𝐰𝐰.𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤.𝐂𝐨𝐦

This is weird timing, seeing this. I don't follow the Kartrashian family except for the news and photos forced upon me opening a browser. Today I was reading about the beautiful actress Alicia Vikander, who is married to actor Michael Fassbender. They are very, very private people. Got married quietly. Had a child last year - event was not known until now because they want it personal and private. Child's name not revealed. Right underneath this lovely article was a big photo and "PREGNANT AND SEXY KYLIE JENNER SEEN IN BIKINI ON YACHT WITH BF". What a sick, sad family.

30 Terrible Products That Are Still Sold By The Millions, As Shared By This Online Group Puppy mill puppies. Sorry to compare them to a product, but that’s how they’re treated. No one should purchase a puppy from a pet store, EVER. This now extends to online brokerage websites like greenfield and puppyspot. They’re like Amazon, a few clicks and a puppy will be sent to your door, and these puppies are coming from the exact same place as the pet store puppies. Because of people’s need for instant gratification, these facilities with hundreds to thousands of breeding animals persist. They are the best cash crop you could hope for. Never believe a store who claims they only sell puppies from responsible breeders. No, not even if the owner has visited the breeders and “know” they’re good! By definition a responsible breeder would NEVER send their puppies to a pet store. Even pet stores that claim to only have rescues need to be scrutinized because some mills will use a shell rescue to “puppy launder”. “Licensed and certified breeders” should be a red flag - depending on the state, a breeder only needs to be licensed if they have a large number of dogs, are selling to brokers to go to pet stores, or to people “sight unseen” (online). YMMV depending on the state. People sometimes justify their purchases as “saving” puppies from a pet store. But that is still investing in the industry and funding their operations by giving them profit. Legislation hasn’t stemmed the tide. Only a loss of profit will make mills move on to another hustle. So please educate yourself and anyone you know who loves dogs and might ever be tempted to purchase a puppy from a pet store or online. Either adopt from a responsible rescue, or purchase from a responsible breeder.

You can check with stores though - my local pet store works WITH the local rescue centre to as a sort of halfway point for adoption. Store =/= bad automatically. It very much depends on location.

Yep. At my local pet stores, you will see the name and contact information for the rescue clearly posted and all the interactions for adopting will go through the rescue, not through the store. The rescue I volunteer with places a lot of animals this way. It's incredibly helpful to us to have that kind of venue to get homeless animals in front of potential adopters.

Also never buy dogs in a reeder that a) sells many breeds and b) doesnt have the parents available to see. Most pretend to be breeders but also use puppy mills. Sadly here in the north of belgium there are many. It disappointed me a lot seeing how little the authorities care

I don't think I've ever seen puppies (or kittens, for that matter) in a pet shop in the UK. I'm not saying we don't have them, but I've never seen them. Pet shops seems to sell rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, degu and chinchillas.

The law in the UK is very clear. A puppy under 6 months old may only be sold by the original breeder or re-homed by a registered organisation.

Breeders as well. My daughter works at a rescue and 90% of their intake is breeder dumps. Either the puppies didn't sell fast enough, they have medical issues and (because the breeder didn't do genetic testing). The heartbreaking ones are the females that have been so overbred they have prolapsed uterus and are in such poor condition that they are considered geriatric by the age of 3.

I agree you can buy dogs from responsible breeders. Many service dogs, especially for disabled or elderly (or even for bomb sniffing) are usually taken from certain breed or hybrids for a reason. In other cases sometimes people want a specific hard to find breed for various reasons (like the climate and environment where they live), which those breeders are good for as well. Look for which agencies certify them, the American Kennel Club certifies responsible breeders that meet a very long list of criteria and get regular inspections.

petfinder is a great site i looked at when getting a dog, all dogs on there are rescues living in foster homes or shelters. it tells you about each dog, and you can choose breed, size, age, color, and if you insert your address, you can choose the max distance from your house. Im not sure if it works for countries other than the US tho. sry for the rant. just that if you want a dog it really helps

Sigh. Not all diamonds are "blood diamonds". There is a legitimate diamond mining industry in places like South Africa or the Canadian arctic and the adult miners are VERY well paid. Buy from a reputable shop and not some cheesy place offering suspiciously low prices and you'll be fine.

Basically, ALL worth is dependent on someone wanting something. The ONLY item that is constantly valuable is land. Nothing else is as valuable. I, however, think that knowledge is as valuable, but, basically the ONLY thing that is worth anything all the time is land. You control land you control food, water and housing. The three basic needs.

But if they want to be "extravagant" then do research on the gem. Otherwise if I were to be absolutely picky with no guilt, a platinum band will be just fine. If there are bad things about it please lmk. I haven't found anything yet. My promise ring is white gold. I may be ignorant but if I. And I'm wrong and my research has been false, I have no problem taking the blame and rectifying the whole thing

People get used to it maybe. However, it does have that hint of vomit flavour. Caused by the butyric acid... real chocolate doesn't have that taste. Hershey's purposefully puts their chocolate through controlled lipolysis, giving it that unique taste. I brought some back from a holiday to the US for my work colleagues, Everyone could taste that tang. Threw it away in the end.

(Swede) When I tasted this chocolate I immediately had to check the date on it because I thought it must be spoiled, it must have gone bad tasting that bad. I had never tasted a chocolate that I didn't think was at least "bland", I am a chocolate lover through and through. And love many American sweets. Fast forward to this summer and my boyfriend bought me Hershey's kisses (he is also happy to taste new things) and I just laughed. He wondered why, but I told him to taste it and then we laughed together. Our little son was jelous that we had candy and he didn't, but we said "go ahead, you can have some too" and just looked at him trying to keep from laughing as he made faces tasting it. First candy ever that he didn't like but we sure had fun. I really love Swedish, Finnish and English candy, nordic chocolate being my favorite. I hope you will have a chance to try Marabou or Fazer chocolate.

Plastic, yes. But aluminium ones can be fully recycled here. Either having them collected in the bags provided, or by buying a pod separator for £20 which pushes the used coffee out and then you simply wash and pop the empty shells into the same recycling as your cans. Plastic is bad for the machines anyway.

One of my favorite areas of study right now are the gut microbiome and it's ever increasing known impact on our overall health. So far it really seems like one of the most important factors (if not the most) is the quality of care you give your ol' poop machine. So yeah, don't consume garbage branded as detox products that f**k your colon.

Don't forget all the "organic" peddlers out there. If you do your research you'll find the standard for getting organic on your label is almost nil. To me these vitamin/miracle cure s**t is almost as bad as people relying on horoscopes and astrological signs. Like the crystals people. If I walked into my doctor's office and saw anything saying "the healing power of the crystal," I'd literally run away.

It makes me laugh a bit that people who hate cigarettes are ok with alcohol when both are class A carcinogens. One is socially unacceptable and the other is acceptable. People have their vices we should leave them alone. For the record I don't smoke or drink.

Prepare for the downbotes lol. I agree with you for what it's worth... theres so many vices in this world: alcohol, tanning, over eating, sugar, diet food, processed food, meat/nitrates, food made to look like other food, pot... a lot of these are carcinogenic. Heck we straight up chew plastic (chewing gum) and yet everyone fixates on cigarettes. My point I don't like cigarettes at all but imo banning a vice is a slippery slope towards reducing personal freedom. Prohibitions don't work.

I am not 100% sure about that one. Yes plastic isn't easy to recycle. (Although HDPE (Lids) and PP (bottles) can be recycled quite well. IF you recycle).. but: It is a lot lighter than glass. Less weight means less energy/fuel for transport. And that means less CO2 (for transport). So.... if you look at the facts and add up the numbers (instead of just going: "Plastic is Evil) you might be surprised. Could be that, as enviromental bad as they are, they could still be better than glass

Many people in my town have a lot of rust in their water from old water pipes. The rust stains every thing orange then red and the amount that’s there is really harmful. And filters can only do so much. So they don’t have much of a choice.

We charge people for plastic bottles. The bigger ones for longer than I can remember, 25 cents a bottle, and a new law was just made to charge 10 (or 15, I'm not sure) cents extra on small bottles too. You get the money refunded when you hand the empty bottles in on your next grocery trip. Every supermarket has a machine where you can stick the empty bottles in. Works quite well

Depending where you live bottled war is essential, if you live in certain places, that is your drinking and cooking water. Further after natural disasters and emergencies their are vital. Bottled Soda is changing with Pepsi now owning SodaStream as well as brand switching to new bio-degradable plastics.

In Romania, starting this autumn, people will recieve 0.5 lei (1/8 USD) for each plastic (p.e.t.) bottle brought to special collecting places; a great chance for our nature and for poor rural areas kids, who will collect the billions of bottles in the lakes, rivers, forrests etc.

Saying that they contain one molecule of the supposed ingedient is actually an overstatement. If you go with so-called "high potency dilutions", you need to consume several tons of the substance to statistically get one molecule of it. D24 would correspond to about one droplet of active ingredient in the atlantic ocean. D80 would correspond to one molecule in the observable universe!

They do help you lose weight...because you're essentially starving yourself. You're filling your stomach with a slightly thicker fluid substance which allows your brain to feel you're full but you are not getting nearly as much as if you'd just eat veggies, fruits, and leaner meats. I lost a lot of weight on Herbalife but immediately gained it all back as soon as I stopped (and when I tried to do it again, I couldn't even stand the shake flavors and nearly threw it up on the first try). I've been on a much more sustainable diet and exercise plan and have lost nearly thirty pounds and feel like it'll stay off much better since my habits have changed.

I've been into this like, 20 years ago, during my college, as I was trying to earn some extra money. I was unable to build a distributors nework because I just couldn't sell all those illusions to people. Like, "in just 3 months you'll earn xxxx dollars"; there's no guarantee for that. It's more likely that you won't earn anything. I didn't do well with products selling either because they were expensive like hell. Plus, most of those who had lost weight initially, gained weight again (including myself). Oh, and that marketing bull***t: "we're not sellers, we are nutritionists". Yeah, sure :)))

There IS a place for cheap clothing, the problem is people who buy loads of cheap clothes and throw them away after one wear. Those who NEED cheap clothing tend to take care of their stuff and hang onto it.

Barbara Streisand wears ONLY [she said in an interview, probably before you were born] new jeans and after one wearing she throws them away. I don't know the verity of that, but I thought it was interesting. I hate new jeans. Takes forever to break them in.

As an adult, I'm still using the hand-me-downs and secondhand shop finds from when I was a teen, and guess what? Nobody has ever commented negatively on any of it. My hippie boot-fit jeans and self-embroidered solid cotton shirts are still acceptable in society, my old men's suit was easily altered into a female work outfit, and buying a second-hand sweater gave me a trendy knit vest AND matching leg warmers (the sleeves) AND a phone bag (the neck). Seriously, old clothes are so much better than buying new once you find good sources. Ethical, green, cheap.

clothing that is so cheap that it is designed to be worn briefly and then disposed of. It can only be produced in such quantities and at such prices by exploiting cheap labour in developing nations, thereby suppressing these nations' economic development and restricting their citizens human rights. It is made from polluting plastics which end up in landfill. And it is shipped thousands of miles around the world to market in vast quantities using polluting container ships, supporting a distribution industry that relies on yet more cheap labour and polluting delivery vehicles. It's an environmental, economic and human disaster from beginning to end.

It depends on how you plan on using them. If you are looking for headphones to wear at home and not on the go, Koss Pro 4AA is the way to go. There's a reason they have been making them exactly the same for more than 50 years. The audio quality is great, and the physical durability is unmatched. You're more likely to break something with them, than break them with something else.

30 Terrible Products That Are Still Sold By The Millions, As Shared By This Online Group Stuff with microbeads. Seriously, how was this ever legal in the first place and why is it still legal? Edit, apparently mictobeads were mostly banned in the US (where majority of redditors are from) in 2018 (enacted 2015) but I missed that. However, this is not a strict ban as they are still allowed in "non-rinse off" products such as make-up or pillow stuffing and you can order large quantities of them on Amazon. So while this is a step in the right direction, it is certainly not good enough. Furthermore, they should be banned worldwide like CFCs were as their environmental impact is equally as bad.

Honestly this just depends on the printer spec / manufacturer. People need to do their research before they buy printers. I used to work tech support for them and people buy photo printers they don't actually need thinking more expensive = better so often. You wouldn't buy yourself a full set of Rotrings or Copics to do your homework so don't buy an inappropriate printer and then complain about the price of consumables. Inks for your Canons / Epsons etc are high end. These printers are designed for a print quality the average consumer does not need. There is a fancy print head *in* the printer that you *need* to maintain with correctly formulated ink that's produced in a clean room or contaminants will damage your expensive unit, end of. If you don't want hassle / cost don't buy them, they are for artists, photographers, designers etc. HP are better for infrequent use / accommodating to refills as the print head is *on* the cartridge so if it's damaged you can replace it.

So, a perfectly good scanner/copier/printer went into the wheelie bin and I bought a new one – for $69. That is really bad, on so many levels.

Aren't there enough old plastic toys around to fill demand for every child without manufacturing more, and more, and more while the planet burns? Collecting anything that is newly made should be looked on with the same revulsion as any other plastic waste.

I loved the times, when, whe you buy a Kinder surprise chocolate, inside of it there was a 'toy' that you can made a collection of hippos or sharks.. also Nutella solded in glasses with prints of those hippos or sharks on them to use for a drink

But kids love them. I’m not saying I don’t think they’re dumb, but a kids love for them is valid wether or not an adult thinks they’re dumb. Toys are made to bring joy to children, whatever floats their boat

On one hand, I like the free games you can play with ads so you can try out a bunch of games without spending a fortune. On the other hand, if I am watching ads to play the game then I shouldn't be hounded to buy a million microtransactions in the game. I wish more games had the option of buying the full game when you know you like it so you could get rid of ads and microtransactions, but they make more money that way than selling them whole.

because today many games have 300-400 million dollar budgets, and if they sell well they will make about 1 billion in revenue in sales (though in profit after all expenses about 200-300 million dollars), not to mention how many high budget games flop. Therefore the companies need ways to earn money to keep profits and cover the expenses of failed games. This is just part of businesses. Lootboxes are gambling and are being banned, which is good, but transactions are the only way you are getting your AAA titles, which btw those profits are also what allow the companies to take risk on publishing indie games, many which barely break even.

30 Terrible Products That Are Still Sold By The Millions, As Shared By This Online Group Hartz brand pet flea treatments/medication. It's dangerous and has been the cause of death for many pets. IIRC it's a nerve agent that's supposed to make the pet's blood toxic to fleas. I used some on my cat once and she started freaking out, then had trouble waking normally (her legs were twitching and kicking, clearly out of her control), and tears of brown thick liquid started streaming down her face. I picked her up and frantically gave her a bath hoping to wash any of the remaining chemicals off the back of her neck before any more of that poison seeped into her skin.

Hartz is made in China, and it is garbage. Don't buy ANYTHING from China meant for consumption or for topical use, for yourself or your pets. There are very minimal regulations regarding quality control, labeling or the use of certain ingredients over there, so you can never be sure of what you're getting.

My 15-year-old cat was acting lethargic, hardly eating, rapidly deteriorating out of nowhere... I thought it was the end. I started preparing myself for a trip to the vet to have him euthanized. Devastated! Suddenly realized the only change was that he'd been wearing a flea collar the past few days. Did some Googling and read HORROR STORIES. I'd never heard about this problem before! Took that thing off him and he returned to his old self within a couple days. How are flea collars even legal?? P.S. My old boy lived for another 3 years. Grateful for the time we had with him.

When she finally did, she had white foam running down her chin and was shaking. Luckily got it washed off and she was ok, but had she not gotten home when she did, cat probably would be dead

Never, ever buy a flea collar that says it can last for 3-4 months. It is such a highly concentrated dose of the product, supposedly time released ("Soresto is one in the U.S) I have seen cats get skin lesions from these, suffer seizures, suffer critical asthma or breathing distress. Just too much, too strong. I don't know why they're allowed to be sold.

There is absolutely no reason to have cable anymore. I have Netflix, Disney+, Amazon prime, Hulu and Funimation subscriptions and all of them combined cost a fraction what cable does,. Include limitless on demand content (much of which is better than anything on cable) and without 30% of the air time being commercials. Cable is dead. It died a horrible and well disserved death and it will not be missed.

Lots of people can only get internet through cable providers and often the "bundle deal" is the cheapest option. I'm so glad I live in a place with cheap, easy high speed internet but in some parts of the US and Australia they are still poorly connected and very over priced.

This is because govt granted monopolies in certain areas to one company. There is only one American city where there are no such monopolies and there are 4 cable providers and 9 internet providers in every area, with super cheap prices. Just get rid of the govt granted monopolies

Blame local governments (towns and cities) who started it by signing exclusivity contracts with the companies who installed cable throughout them. As time went on and the various cable companies were bought up by larger companies... who were, in turn, bought up by even larger companies, those contracts remained in effect. Still do in many places.

Yes, my HOA just signed a contract that forces residents to have spectrum service. You are free to buy another service but you are still charged for the spectrum service. Also since its part of the HOA dues you can lose your house for not paying the cable bill.

I was a CSM when everything was still done by snail mail. My printer would literally smoke after about 20 pages. I had a lot of stuff to print out and this was a big work printer. It worked so they would not replace it. People would actually come watch it. They joked about toasting marshmallows. I saved that company so much money because everyone came to me to fix their printer and computer problems because they knew the IT company contracted was worthless. Took days to show up.

Gambling will always exist. State-run lotteries at least have some small benefit to them. In Wisconsin (where I live), 57% of lottery revenue goes to prize money, 30% has been allocated to reducing property taxes for state residents, 6% to benefit businesses in the state, and only another 6% to operate the whole system. The Illinois lottery gives a chunk of its proceeds to fund public education.

I do the grocery shopping in Fridays. Part of it is buying my husband some beer. He’s in pest control, and has to go into crawl spaces and climb into attics, so I really can’t begrudge him his one beer to help him wind down when he gets home. Anyway, you should see the line of people spending their paychecks on lottery tickets. If they invested that money instead, they’d actually have something by now.

When Texas was looking at getting a state lottery, the campaign in favour referenced the profits would be put towards education. What they really meant was that the money would go into the general fund, of which education is a part.

When it was voted in in California it was suppose to be paying for the schools to get what they needed. But all these years and teachers are still paying out of pocket for so many necessities. 🤬

30 Terrible Products That Are Still Sold By The Millions, As Shared By This Online Group WILDLY Overpriced micro transactions in video games, it’s genuinely absurd. 25 dollars for a little outfit for your character in a first person shooter where you do not see your little outfit is a perfect example.

30 Terrible Products That Are Still Sold By The Millions, As Shared By This Online Group Alienware computers. They used to be genuinely top-of-the-line gaming machines, expensive but well balanced and good bang for your buck. Then Dell bought them and ran the productline into the ground, stuffing them with way too much RAM and way too little everything else but keeping the premium price. The brand still has enough cultural momentum among teenage gamers, however, that they still sell despite the terrible pricepoint.

30 Terrible Products That Are Still Sold By The Millions, As Shared By This Online Group It's not still being sold by the millions (I hope!), but the hot gift of Christmas 1975 was the pet rock. It was literally a rock picked up from a beach in Mexico put in a box with air holes and a cute list of how to take care of it like it was a real pet. The guy who came up with the idea sold more than a million of them at $4 a pop, which was not bad money at all in the mid-70s. The product has been relicensed as of about a decade ago by a different company. I'm very happy they haven't found a million new customers among the new generations.

When these were a fad most kids wouldn't accept home made ones. If they weren't "official" pet rocks they were worthless, but official pet rocks were ... More expensive. And basically nothing else

In countries that are heavily polluted, oxygen bars are also a thing. If a person lives in a smoggy city and literally never gets a breath of fresh air, bottled air is a luxury.

You don't understand what's wrong with people buying hundreds of pieces of useless, non-degradable plastic? The planet is literally burning, people are starving and dying of disease, and you are defending throwing money at pointless plastic icons that usually never even get taken out of the box?

Uh ... no? That's not what this is about. "Vynil" is PVC, and therefore it is plastic ... whatever you make from it, a round disc that mechanically stores information (like music), rain jackets, inverse-rain panties, ... not the point. Or maybe halfway the point - these things have an actual use, while Funkopops don't do any else but looking the same with different paint, regardless of who is attempted to be resembled.

They all look the same, they all look nothing like whatever they mean to look like, and they suck. Would I buy a figurine of, say, Beavis, I'd want him to look like Beavis ... or at least, to not look almost like Harry Potter.

It's so... Dumb. So much plastic and for what? Keeping it on the shelf? Some of them sell for hundreds of dollars. And it's become a collection obsession for a lot of them... I just don't get it.
