One Bored Panda reader has just sent us this picture of the ‘Tell The Horse Heads Apart Challenge’ – can you guess which horse the head belongs to? We’re not sure if this is some kind of personality test, or something that checks how resistant you are to optical illusions…
One thing is for sure – you bet you’ll have to look twice or thrice at the photo to get the right answer. We can’t figure it out ourselves, so please help us out by sharing your opinion in the comments below.
Can you guess which horse the head belongs to?

Share on FacebookIt belongs to the right one. You can see whole ridge of the horse on the left. The year makes it even more obvcious. But it takes a second to be sure :)
It belongs to the left one. Look at the ears behind the head, they obviously belong to the right horse.
Load More Replies...I say to the 1st one, cause this is what I see! :-) Horses-590...a1dff1.jpg
Ι also say the 2nd one, cause I also see this! So...I give up! :''D :-P Horses2-59...985b9f.jpg
Load More Replies...I think it belongs to the horse on the left. I think the horse on the right is a donkey. And I think there's some photoshop involved.
I have to agree with your photoshop conclusion, Aimee Beth. If you look closely up where the mane lines of the 2 horses come together - below and to the left of the top ear, you can see the photoshop line.
Load More Replies...Pretty sure it's the right. Because I can see it's whole neck and mane is bent slightly forwards and connected to the head, whereas the other horse's ridge doesn't well, quite connect.
It's photoshopped. The ears don't make any sense. I think the one on the left was originally looking away...toward the horse on the right. But a facial shot of one of the horses was photoshopped into the picture.
I believe it's the left one. The colour of the body matches the colour of the head. Also, the right one has too much of hair on it.
It doesn't take a genius to see which one is the head owner. Just look at the mane...
Well, you'd think. But look closely at the mane of the right-side horse... gets kinda black around the neck, don't it?
Load More Replies...Obviously the left one. There is a line of fur from the ear to the eye, and that's a freakish position for a neck to be in if it belonged to the left one. Also the hair.
It clearly belongs to the left because the hair the horse's face matches the hair of the body to the left. Plus the ear in the background belongs to the right horse.
It's right, otherwise there's seriously something wrong with that horse.
hold your hand covering everything to the left of the left hand eye (facing the viewer) - and it's obvious it's the right hand horse - then hold a hand just to the right of the (horse's) eye on (the viewer's) right hand side to check - but it DID take me a minute to work it out !! - nice puzzle - thanks for posting :-)
There is three horses, there is one on the left, one on the right and if you look good enough you can see there are 3 horses.
the right one because on the left horse, there is a peak right before the head and i dont think that horses have that
It belongs to the right one because the ear behind it is the left horse with its ears back :)
Come on folks. Look at the length of the neck on the left horse, then look at the right. If the head belonged to the left horse, the right would have an incredibly short neck. I believe the head belongs to the horse on the right.
the horse on the right you can tell by the ear that's closest to the shoulder of the horse on the right...you can see the ear of the horse on the left behind the head.
It belongs to the left one. If you look closely, you can see the right horse's head's ears.
The head belongs to the horse on the left. Please note the orientation of the ears on each and you will determine it is the one on the left.
The head belongs to the horse on the right. The view of the head of the horse on the left is blocked by the horse on the right. The reverse cannot be true, given the appearance of their relative sizes. Whose ear is that on top?
