I was sat one evening after my son had gone to bed when i heard an owl hooting in a near by field, out of curiosity i did some research and discovered it was a tawny owl making the noise, weirdly i had been considering making an owl sculpture for a while and this cemented in my mind that it had to be my next sculpture, so here it is, My version of a life size tawny owl created from scrap metal.

Wow it looks amazing! My father is a mechanic and I recognize some of the pieces that you used. Will you be making more birds?

Hi yes im heading into more nature inspired sculptures for a while I think, it's much more enjoyable trying to capture the animals likeness. I have done other birds in the past aswell a cockerel and a hummingbird check out my facebook page if you like www.facebook.com/aloadofoldscrap
