Lesbian Girl Expects To Get Bullied When This Jock Sits Next To Her, Instead She Learns That Looks Can Be Deceiving
We shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and we shouldn’t judge people by how they look. Sounds simple, right? And yet some of us keep doing it. However, if you give the people who look like you’d never get along with a chance, they might turn out to be not only wholesome but also turn into your very best friends.
That’s exactly what happened to Tumblr user Good-ho-mens who shared an incredibly heartwarming story about a dude-bro at her school. Small spoiler warning: the intimidating jock turned out to have a heart of gold and we’re very jealous. Be sure to read the entire story below, dear Pandas, it’s bound to bring a smile to your face.
This Tumblr user share the brotastic story of how she became friends with a total dude-bro who looked like a walking stereotype

The story went viral on Tumblr, getting nearly half a million notes around a year back. The tale of two friends was so soul-soothing that it kept going viral on various social media websites, including on Reddit.
It was there that one redditor summed up the story in an over-the-top but totally awesomely spot-on way: “The only thing larger than our gains are our hearts.” And we can definitely get behind the cheesy and tongue-in-cheek rhetoric.
The term itself, dude-bro, is meant to conjure up thoughts of your stereotypical jock who parties hard, goes to the gym all the time, and calls people ‘bruh’ a lot (I’m so guilty of this last one, I’m not even sure I can turn my life around) among other things. The Guardian even featured an article about the less-savory aspects of dude-bros and how to recognize them.
Dude-bros are usually seen as being pretty conservative, sticking with those who are like them, and not having much patience for anyone different. Think back to all of those high school movies you’ve watched and you’ll get the picture. So it’s no wonder that Tumblr user Good-ho-mens was skeptical and a tiny bit afraid when he sat next to her.
However, the dude-bro turned out to be, well, a total bro. The duo quickly became inseparable, supported each other, and even helped each other out when it came to romance. Wholesome? We think so. And we think that everyone deserves to have a couple of friends like these two in their lives.
Here’s how people reacted to the story about the jock with a heart of gold
What did you think of the story, dear Pandas? Have you ever been in a situation where somebody you thought you wouldn’t get along with ended up becoming your friend? Do you have stereotypical views about dude-bros? Share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in the comments, gender non-specific bros.
This reminds me a lot of the netflix original the half of it. lol
Load More Replies...I know someone who has a total dude-bro look and he's brilliant. One of the smartest people I know. He is always misjudged. When people get to know him, they're always completely caught off guard.
Have you ever seen the show "leverage"? There is a character that completely fills that description. I wish there were more characters like that.
