Artist Makes Surreal Houses From Trash She Finds On The Street
Katarína Prídavková is a surrealist painter, illustrator and sculptor from Slovakia. Her current project is entitled Treasure from Trash, and through it she seeks to find beauty hidden in ordinary things.
The project consists from small sculptures of houses which are constructed from materials that Prídavková has found on the streets.
“These are things nobody is interested in – wires, papers, components from televisions, sticks from lollipops, accessories and parts,” says Prídavková. “I put them together to make an object. I want to show that not everything which is beautiful must necessarily be expensive…just ordinary.”
