Surreal Rescue Dogs Finally Get Their Own Book!

So just about a year ago I started a project to help raise awareness for the stray dog problem in Cyprus.

With little to no animal cruelty laws the problem was getting worse and after meeting a small individual rescue centre, I decided to help by taking photos of some of the dogs and spending a lot of time (about 20 hours per photo) editing each one into its own world. Each dogs photo was based on their personality. All from Milly The Mermaid (she has a disability where her back legs are tied, hence the name) to beautiful Wolfi on his boardwalk.

With the help of the shelter owner (Kayte Wilson-Smith) we decided to do an exhibition to sell each of these photos to raise some money for the cause.

Well after 10 months of work, I had 10 photos and so decided that rather than do just an exhibition, I wanted to release a book. With the help of BoredPanda I uploaded the images with the story and it went viral…I mean crazy!

Before we knew it we had been translated into 30 different languages in 40 different countries and were published all over the world in print and on TV.

So after 5 months of editing pure hard work putting together the book, it has finally been released this week.

To say we are proud is an understatement and the book is beautiful (even if we do say so ourselves!).

The great thing is that every penny of profit goes to the shelter, so not only is a beautiful book with images and stories arrive for you to display but you also get peace knowing that all monies go straight to the shelter to help them build a new roof.

Even better news is that almost all of these dogs have now been adopted…you can learn their amazing stories inside!

We hope you like it as much as we do, and copies are available world wide for just £15.00.

You can buy them from: Amazon, eBay and the Publisher direct:
