Elliana Esquivel is a 19-year-old sometimes illustrator who lives in North Carolina. She's been drawing since she was in diapers, and her unique art consists of beautiful drawings summing up some observation or notion about life.
"Oh, all sorts of things [inspire me]," explains Esquivel about her creative ideas, "Everything. Patterns in architecture, in living, the way certain things break, how colors blend and snap under shadows or sprays of light. Also people, their gestures, their sounds, the way they phrase themselves, and how they wear their influences through their works of art and speech. Words too. I’m always fascinated by words; how they can scoop up the strange, soupy sensations of life and create these distinctions. I don’t know, there’s something very meaningful in that."
Be sure to check which art prints Esquivel has available on Etsy, as her minimalist style drawings certainly won't last long!

Slowdive ❤ I hope there are more of these slowdive related illustrations , i am moved by them , now , listening to souvlaki
I stood up too fast. Something slipped behind the eyes. Soft to the touch, but *od it burned. It doesn’t feel real. Maybe it isn’t. Another sinking feeling. More than sinking. Less than swimming. Up, up and away. Don’t put it off. The world is full of noise. I hear it all the time. The chaos. The calm. Every second. Something new. Sometimes here. Sometimes not. Strange words. Stranger thoughts. Being is strange, but wonderful too. I’ve made some strange decisions. Things break before I can hold them. People, too. Life is full of missing parts. Not useless. Never was. Every day is the same day. It knows what it wants. Not for you. Not for me. Art is an invention of the soul. The soul is an invention of art. Our heads are round so thought can change direction. People never stop lapsing into one another’s lives. A woman is an island. I am the sea I drown in. But then again I could be mountains, too. I’m growing soft again. The bruises tell me so. But who says soft can’t be strong?
^^when you put the text from her images all together you can sort of string them together as a poem. I thought it was interesting how some of the text contradicted others or supported them, and how they could be related together. I just put them in an order that makes some sense to me so I could demonstrate it. She's got some amazing points to share, and her really pulls it off. <3 <3 <3!
Load More Replies...They look very simplistic and beautiful, but I can't understand them. If anything wants to, I'd welcome explanations.
