Ellie Davies, a talented multimedia artist in the UK, has spent seven years turning landscapes throughout the UK into beautiful and ghostly works of art. By introducing subtle (or sometimes not-so-subtle) elements to these landscapes, she turns them into meditations on our relationships with the landscapes we grow up and live in.
“The forest represents the confluence of nature, culture, and human activity,” Davies writes on her website. “Forests are potent symbols in folklore, fairy tale and myth, places of enchantment and magic as well as of danger and mystery. In more recent history they have come to be associated with psychological states relating to the unconscious. Against this backdrop my work explores the ways in which identity is formed by the landscapes we live and grow up in.”
The images are beautiful on their own, but each series also has its own intent on the artists’ part, which can be found on her website. Be sure to visit it to see more of her work!

Forest are naturally beautiful all on their own. But as long as no animals were bothered & the forest not harmed, meh.
I don't like the plants being altered. These are beautifully constructed photographs, they needn't harm the forest to aesthetically please.
Stunning. Love the 1st one and the 5th one . They are all magnificent .
uhm...This looks like the work Andy Goldsworthy pioneered and has been doing for decades. It's lovely but almost stolen.
Perhaps expanding on a theme but I don't think it's considered stolen unless it's the exact setup. I think artists borrow others ideas often
Load More Replies...Absolutely beautiful ! God gave this us the canvas and this artist took that gift and created an even more amazing gift back for all to see
THE NATURE HAS DONE AT ITS BEST EXPO ! HATS OFF TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER FOR AMAZING EFFERTS !
Beautiful. I especially love the ones with the mist and used one as my background.
You don't need to paint ferns white and trees red and fill the woods with decorative garbage in order for the forest to be pretty.
I don't thins white and a tree red and put a lot of garbage in the forest to make it beautiful!!!! Yea the pictures are neat but really?
Wonderful to see the beauty all around you! Living in the forest is awesome.
Ellie Davies is a fabulous artist and her photographs stunning! I would like to own any of her pieces.
I think this work can sharpen our perception of the forest and lead us to look closer

As long as the changes are photographic manipulation, and not physical changes, each to their own. Too new-agey for me.
