I used to work for a 24 hour restaurant. The hours were hell, and at 2am, here comes the bar crowd! Drunk and rowdy at times, but usually good tippers!

Motorway services are the 24/7 in the UK

They are good when traveling or for shift workers. I don't get the hate for 24-hour restaurants.

Makes sense to have 24 hr. businesses, when people live 24 hr. lives. Not everyone lives the same schedule.

Hard to find & usually only in big cities/ their suburbs. But hey, when you only make $3 an hour + tips you HAVE to work 24/7 to pay rent.

Orlando, fl is 24hr everything! We have ihop, dennys, waffle house. Even are gas stations are 24/7 . I do live in a tourist trap though.

Not everyone is on a normal schedule. A lot of the things that get done AT NIGHT are because people WORK AT NIGHT.

College sport is a way for colleges to earn loads of money and attract more students who will also bring in loads of money. Everything in the US is about money, from religion via education via charity to health care.

$12 for breakfast doesn't strike me as cheap. I can get more than that in my local cafe in the UK for about £7 and that would be considered expensive if bought daily.
