Bored Panda reached out to Domien once again, asking him to delve deeper into his work. When asked about how his personal experiences influence his creative process, the artist generously shared: “For me, it's not just about my own experiences but about frustrations I see in my environment. I see things that I think are weird or unfair and try to talk about them. Maybe it's the fact that as a white male European I'm extremely aware of the privilege I have and trying to make up for this by pointing out what happens to those who don't have this privilege.”

Delforge also told us which contemporary cartoonists’ work he particularly admires: “BIG fan of Scribbly G and Sir Joan Cornella. Both make me laugh on a regular basis and have a great style, which I love for dark humor.”

We were curious to know which comic Domien has created so far holds a special meaning to him. The artist shared: “This one. Absolutely shocked by how easily most people talked about human lives during the last year. It was all about statistics and revenge. A massive part of humanity got lost in 2024.”

Lastly, we wanted to learn about the artist’s current goals, and we discovered that the Belgian cartoonist is taking a break after becoming a father in August. He shared more about this new chapter in his life: "My little boy Toto deserves a lot of my time and attention. So, I have just one 'big' project at the moment: making my son a decent human being."
