Humor is one of the few joys we have left when we grow up. We have to do taxes, pay bills, go to our office jobs, and sometimes even worse, take care of kids. But at least we can make fun of that, right?
That's exactly what illustrator Chaz Hutton does. He illustrates his experiences as an adult and creates sarcastic sticky note doodles which we can all probably relate to and laugh, or cry. The artist really enjoys making all kinds of diagrams, graphs, and 'statistics' while creating his art. Perhaps it makes it look more serious.

What is the main goal of your illustrations?
To be honest, it’s largely having to avoid having a real job. Turns out they’re quite hard and take up a lot of time.

How did you get into art?
I’m still coming to terms with the fact it’s technically art, but I started studying Architecture and then, through a series of not-very-well-thought-out decisions, ended up drawing stick figures.
What is the most difficult part of creating these illustrations?
The time travel wears you down, I can’t say why there’s time travel involved, but just know it’s hard on them knees after a while.

I have never been because I always imagined it would be like that...
What topics do you cover?
Definitely not time travel, that’s a big-time travel no-no. Other than not that, I do spend a lot of time making jokes about normal stuff that happens in my life, which apparently is funny to people—which I guess should be more concerning to me than it is.
How would you describe your style?
Post-Impressionism, but I’m terrible at identifying styles.
How would you describe your humor?
From another time.

too true. TRY to look up information about almost anything and don't like the first search result so proceed to the second, 3rd, 4th, holy s**t it's the same thing... give up, just say well booze is always good.
When did you start creating these illustrations and how long are you going to continue them?
Started next year, and plan to continue until around 2016.

Social media, noun: A construct with no real physical presence which was invented by a few people in order to influence control by a few over many in order to make money. The closest example, prior to the advent of the internet, are the likes of Dear Abbey, Siskel & Ebert, etc., individuals who, by virtue of their trade, had access to national or international printed press. With the advent of the internet and its resultant connectivity of peoples around the world the "internet star" was born. These internet stars were later renamed as influencers because companies that specialize in advertising for profit already knew that people followed blindly so they capitalized on an existing stream of advertising that, relatively, cost their customers very little. Pennies per view still equates to hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars. You sold yourself.
What inspires you to keep going forward?
Again, I’m not allowed to talk about that.

It's a vicious circle - press reports there might be a shortage, a few people panic buy, press reports people are panic buying, more people panic buy because the panic buyers are panic buying and that is creating a shortage.
What advice would you give people who want to create art themselves?
As insane as this might sound, the best advice there is to ah… Make Art. That’s it.

I’m not sure a quick internet interview is the place for writing an entire autobiography—might save that one for a later date if that’s ok!

Well, given that featuring my comics on Bored Panda creates clicks for Bored Panda and its ads, I’d hazard a guess that being featured on Bored Panda actually helped Bored Panda out more than anything! You’re welcome, guys!

Anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Butterflying your roast chicken will result in a more evenly cooked chicken, with much more crispy skin, and it won’t dry out as easily.
