I am Jelena Vicentic, Master of Arts – painter. I graduated at Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. I live and work in Belgrade, Serbia.
I have always been drawn to motorcycles, bikers, cars, engines – drawn to their speed, all the machines that produce strength, power and acceleration, heavy and huge in size, with strange shapes and a metallic shine that always fascinated me. The bikers are so mysterious, and so powerful, they move my art. The media that I used to express my art are canvas and paints, paper and pencil. In this artistic process I use photographs focused on different cadres of vehicle and engine parts and – after a detailed analysis – I transform them into drawings and paintings. Large and small dimensions – traditional and strikingly realistic.
