The argument being used to fight it is that “your taxes will rise” even though everyone would be paying less and have more money in their pockets. The other thing I read some time ago was that the USA healthcare system is not broken but functioning as designed which is to make a few companies a f**k ton of money.

I learned that this week when I asked a client on Medicaid how much she paid out of pocket for delivery costs of her child & she said 'nothing.' NOT A SINGLE dime. My 'health insurance ' still required me to.pay bw 3k-4k total due to not yet meeting my yearly deductible.

I hate health care in America. Having a medical issue should not bankrupt someone. I had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance and it was $800 just for the ambulance!!!

Insurance is some what like a Ponzi scheme. We pay for insurance coverage then when an accident happens, Insurance covers all, some or none of the accident. Then your coverage shoots up and you pay for coverage with a much higher number attached.

Yes. It would. But....Americans, are kinda dumb. Half of them don't want to subsidize health care for the "poor's" and "the brown people", not realizing it will be cheaper for them too. While "the poor's" are under the impression that UHC is something that's going to be "free" for them, paid for by "the rich" The bottom 52% of income earners paid $0 in federal income tax, while the average tax rate is 13.4% People would rather pay $2000 a month for health insurance, or have the option of not paying for it all then to give the government 35%+ of their income. UHC will never, ever be "free" it's subsidized, by everyone in the form of higher taxes. Everyone either needs to accept that simple fact, or stop whining about not having it.
