My husband and I went on a trip to India (yes, on purpose) and had an amazing time. We loved the people over there and how genuine they were. The colors made for some really great pictures and I thought I would share some of them with you. Focused a bit more on the people rather than the sights. :)

Streetlife in Delhi
Our trip started in Delhi and we were initially shocked by the traffic and the noise. However, there seemed to be a system in all the chaos.
Girl selling spices in Delhi
Amber Palace
Around the palace were elephants. The palace made a great background for several shots.
Monkey in Jaipur
We went to see the monkey temple in Jaipur. As usual it was somehow tricky to communicate with the tuk tuk driver, but we finally arrived for sunset and had a chance to see the giant monkey population.

Tuk tuk driver La La
This is La La our amazing tuk tuk driver at the Taj Mahal. We met him in the evening in front of our hotel and he offered to take us back to the Taj in the morning (on the other side with the river). We weren’t sure if we wanted to take him up on the offer. However, in the morning at 5 a.m. we did decide to go and see the sunrise at the Taj and La La was still in front of the hotel – greeting us with the words: “I knew that you would come back”. He was the best driver/ guide that we had on the entire trip and never haggled over his fare. He just told us to pay him as much as we thought it was worth. I thought that was a great way of doing business and I am sure that he made a lot more than if he would have just said how much he wanted. Had a fantastic time with him. Look for him if you happen to go to Agra. He is simply amazing!
Boy with his goat in Orccha
Orchha was a great little town as well. The people were really friendly and we had a chance to catch a glimpse of the rural life in India. Besides from the boy with the goat we met the obligatory, holy cows as well as some elephants that were walked around in the streets.
Varanassi
A boy and his Pepsi
This picture is from Orchha as well and I really liked the little boy. He was so concerned that we would grab his Pepsi – so he held on really tight.
A girl in a village near Orchha
The kids in this little village were so happy and excited when we came over for a tour. They took our hands and showed us around. The kids were playing and the parents working – it was amazing to have a chance to visit them at their homes.
