Canadian based artist Dwayne Wolosiewicz started his interest in art when he was young, but unfortunately it took a back seat when family came along. 20 years later, after an 11 year career as a volunteer firefighter, he was diagnosed with anxiety and PTSD, and turned back to art as a coping mechanism, finding solace in art. He started with coin cutting, and quickly moved on to engraving and carving hobo nickels. He is completely self taught through trial and error, online videos, and networking with other artists. His specialty is carving Morgan dollars and other pure silver coins, adding tiny watch parts and making them multi-layered with mechanical and electronic aspects to achieve a steampunk and biomechanical theme.
