Slovenian Artist Creates Amazing Paintings Made From Sand That She Finds Along Natural River Banks
Stanka Golob is a bit of an unusual visual artist. For her paintings she only uses sand of natural colors and different sizes. Sand that she finds all over Slovenia: in rivers, mountains and quarries. The sand has to be washed first and then sifted to different grain sizes. She uses it on canvas, wood, glass or metal.

Stunning paintings! Love the minimalistic feel too it. I wasn't even aware that there are so many different shades of sand. Amazing how nature works!
