19 AI-Generated Portraits Of Characters From The Simpsons If They Existed In Real Life
I used Midjourney to reinvent our favorite characters from the hit animated sitcom in human form. Of course, some family and town members are missing due to having difficulties generating them to any degree of accuracy.
These AI creations are people that could exist theoretically based on Simpsons characters fully created by Midjourney V5.

Ned Flanders
Yes in the show he claims he is 60 years old so I was basing the description off of that

ned flanders is 60 (google it)

I am an 18-year-old student living in England. I enjoy watching the Simpsons and have watched nearly all of the episodes.
I have been using Midjourney Sunset since it was on version 2 till the current version 5. I discovered my enjoyment for sharing AI by posting it on my Instagram and I thought about creating a live-action Simpsons collection as it is always interesting imagining what your favorite cartoon characters would look like in real life.
Waylon Smithers
Groundskeeper Willie
“Brothers and sisters are natural enemies. Like Englishmen And Scots. Or Welshmen and Scots. Or Japanese and Scots. Or Scots and other Scots. Damn Scots they ruined Scotland!”
I came up with the idea of generating these portraits whilst watching the Simpsons as I felt that it would be a fun idea to combine two of my interests.
Of all the portraits I am most surprised or happy about is either Ned Flanders or Ralph Wiggum because these characters I believe are most true to them in the show and I can really imagine these characters possessing the same characteristics as their in-show counterparts. However, the hardest character to create and personally, my least favorite is Chief Wiggum as the AI failed to generate his iconic blue hair and pig-snout-like nose.
Lisa Simpson
Milhouse Van Houten
In the future, I might work on other animated shows such as Futurama, King of the Hill or Family Guy and I am looking forward to sharing them! You can see more of my work on my Instagram!
Nelson Muntz
Moe Szyslak
Ralph Wiggum
Sideshow Bob
Looks a lot like James Holmes the insane guy they shot up a Batman movie and tried to get away dressed up as a member of the SWAT team that showed up.
Dr. Hibbert
Bart Simpson
Supposed to be more mischievous than angry. But this is a very pretty child
Apu Nahasapeemapetilon
Edna Krabappel
A bit young, I always thought of Edna as being cougar territory
Barney Gumble
Principal Skinner
Mr. Burns
Homer Simpson
Very good. What people lack to understand is that this is real-life Simpsons, not CGI Simpsons. Very good work .
Marge Simpson
Chief Wiggum
I got as far as Mr. Burns not looking like Mr. Burns in the slightest, and Lisa Simpson looking like a 4-year-old boy.
Burns was ok, but not great. Yeah, lisa is very off.
Load More Replies...Everything except Homer and Marge are good renditions. But Homer doesn't have a goatee, he has a permanent 5-O'clock shadow. And Marge doesn't have 4a curls, she has a beehive 'do.
Interesting how each rendering is mostly spot on but still miserably fails (with a couple exceptions) because AI can't replicate the emotions properly. Like, Bart doesn't look mischievous enough to really look like Bart, Barney doesn't look sad and drunk enough to look like Barney, Mr. Skinner doesn't look hopeless enough to look like Mr. Skinner, etc. Appearance isn't just physicals features, it includes the vibe people give off and AI can't seem to capture that the same way human artists can.
Compared to Simpsons, these lack chatacter. Most of these photos are just beautiful, randomly looking people.
I am in no way a fan of AI artwork, however, I have to admit that these were actually surprisingly fun and fairly realistic (except Chief Wiggum who was pure nightmare fuel). I love AI's rendition of Groundskeeper W***y and Marge.
Jesus Christ BoredPanda, are you honestly censoring "w-i-l-l-y"? What the hell is up with this site and its idiotic censorship. We are not two years old.
Load More Replies...Not bad. The sideshow bob had some inspiration from the insane guy that shot up the Batman movie from years ago. It’s scary how it reminds me of that guy from the media.
It's true that these often don't look at ALL like the characters, and yet somehow they do look like people who would be a lot like characters (except Marge, Homer, Burns, Barney). LIsa is ADORABLE, but TOO young.
Hi guys, so if you go to deviantart.com, you'll see drawings of Mr Burns and Krusty the Clown that are so life-like.... so, if they had a Adam McKay between when he directed Anchorman and The Big Short, type- of director meets Wes Anderson's set- design right- hand man were to have used these renderings for casting, which actors immediately come to your minds? I honestly think of Joaquin Phoenix playing Ned Flanders. I mean, the man does have experience in comedy and namely, this type- of Comedy. I'm still torn between Adam Sandler or Paul Giamatti playing Krusty the Clown? Your thoughts?
I think people are taking this a little too seriously. I'm a die hard Simpsons fan and I think this is pretty neat.
It’s amazing to see the Simpsons as ‘real people’. Homer wasn’t quite right: I think it’s a permanent 5 o’clock shadow rather than a beard, and Principal Skinner didn’t look dim enough, but the rest were great!
I was fine until the end... Chief Wiggum was (inaccurate or not) the only outright unrealistic on in the list.
