Halloween is not the only occasion for scary stories, and if horror movies aren’t enough for you, we’ve got some creepy drawings that might just cater to your spine-chilling needs.
New York-based artist and CollegeHumor head illustrator Jacob Andrews has plucked some of the eeriest two-sentence horror stories from the depths of Reddit and turned them into a short series of chilling comics. Unwelcome intruders, texts from the afterlife, and dug-up bones are just a few of the themes that haunt each panel, and it’s impressive how these short horror stories manage to unsettle the reader in so few frames.
Scroll down to be spooked and get your dose of the good old-fashioned scary stories to tell in the dark. If you’re still not shaken senseless, check out more bit-sized horror stories here.

Load More Replies...Wait, The Mobile Text One, Didn't Scare me at all, Because it can be any other family member who had seen that,But, Others are Quite Scary
I thought that was scariest, because my late wife and I were the only ones on our family plan, and her phone is still in the dresser drawer.
Load More Replies...Mobile one happened to me... a year after my dad died, my phone rang and caller id said "Dad"... my heart stopped. Turned out it was my brother who found the sim card and called to tell me he will be using the number in future.
Rang my mum off a family business office line she had saved as my late sister's (who used it often) about a year after my sister's passing on. I can not explain what that did to her.
Load More Replies...Amazing! But... no matter how many times I read it, I just can't get the ocean one.
They have passed the "deepest" point of the ocean. Let your imagination take that further.
Load More Replies...#2 made me laugh only because my mother just told me today that my little brother asked her where one of her long time friends worked. My mother responded back telling him that she died 2 years ago, and my brother responded back saying thats weird i just talked to her on the phone.
I got one. "So it seems we are the only two humans left alive, m'lady." *tips fedora*
Well then guess this will come in handy *pulls out pocket kinfe*
Load More Replies...Whoa. My goosebumps kept rising higher with every story. I probably look something similar to a porcupine right now...
I invited my girlfriend over my house for a very special dinner. I have to say, she was very delicious.
Man! I love these sooooooooo much!! My favorite is #1...!!!!!!!!
There is nothing wrong with texting your dead spouse....I highly recommend it. No one ever needs to know. It helps......
The problem is not with talking to the dead, the problem is when they answer (or check their messages). ;)
Load More Replies...Read it again - back of my neck is crawling like I'm being electrocuted! XD
Load More Replies...#2 isn't scary, maybe someone else is using the phone or that person is just not dead but no one knows it yet.
Ok, they were terribly creepy! Don't like the jingling keys at all!!
They are indeed scary, considering they are only two sentences each.
#3 is really good. Otherwise...if anyone wants a real scare or just something thrilling and creepy...I invite you to read some of Shaun Allan's and Nate D. Burleigh's work on Wattpad. You won't regret it.
Think about where they are now. They know that there are so-and-so many km of water, and then there is/should be the ocean floor. They are 3 km deeper down than that well known number.
Load More Replies...The last man alive in the world sat alone in a room. . . . There was a knock at the door.
Here's one: I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.”
Every night the shadows on my walls got bigger. Last night I realized they were really getting closer.
Well the texting one wasn't that scary because after someone dies and they don't use a number, the number can be given to anyone else when they cancel they cell and all that stuff
The one about being in the submersibke vehicle and not reaching the bottom would be freaking me out!
3 is the funniest. 2 better with pronouns reversed: . . . after i died. . . .
they didn't kill the neighbors dog in self defense, they killed it because it was good at digging up bones, probably from people that they've murdered and buried? at least that's how I understand it c:
Load More Replies...#2 is where they sent a text to someone who died and the message was seen, by who, we don't know (they are implying that the dead person saw it) #4 is saying that they have gone PAST what they previously believed was the bottom of the ocean
Load More Replies...I laughed at the first one because I have a dark sense of humour. The most terrifying thing about the text one was the spelling.
I think its that he survived the fall only to be eaten alive by vultures ... would have been better off dead.
Load More Replies...Congratulation! i was bored now i am terrified. The fall story is horrifying
