The pot and the reservoir are divided by a water-permeable part, made from earthenware. It lets water gradually through, and only when the plant needs it, thus preventing the soil from soaking.

HILARIOUS! - If I don't see when my plant is nearly dead, how on earth would i notice a slightly tilted pot?
