This Anti-Assault Ring Is Perfect For Women Who Jog Alone
If you’re a woman who likes to jog but you don’t always feel as safe as you’d like to, this clever little anti-assault ring might be just the thing you’re looking for. It’s called Go Guarded and it’s a plastic weapon with a serrated edge that can be worn on any finger. It can’t be easily knocked out of your hand like other anti-assault devices such as mace, pepper spray, and rape alarms, and it might just give you a fighting chance should you find yourself in a dangerous situation.
“There are countless horror stories of runners and joggers assaulted, raped, or murdered across the U.S.,” explains the product’s website. “Go Guarded is a new option for active woman to defend themselves. You will naturally use your hands to fight off an attack. With Go Guarded on your finger, you can increase your effectiveness in escaping an attack and reaching safety.”

Share on FacebookWhy all female products always have to be pink?! I am a woman and I much prefer blue or green. Please help to stop this pink madness.
If it helps you who the hell cares personal I'd wear this and I wouldn't care
Load More Replies..."There are countless horror stories": no doubt there are, if you try to seel defense products. If you wear a weapon-ish thingy you will not feel safer, but me more anxious, expecting something to happen. And it is very doubtful that a person not training in fighting will have any better cards when wielding such a device, which would require profound techniques to be really effective.. Besides that, I do not have statistics for that, but I am pretty sure that the chance of tripping are several order of magnitudes higher than that of being assaulted...and when tripping this device by design my be harmful in that you could cut yourself. A suggestion: team up in the autumn and winter...particularly when you need to run with a headlight, and in fog, it is a much better feeling to be at least two, and probably bring a dog if you or a friend have one that likes to run. Even more if you run long and get quite remote. And this is not only true for women, but also for men.
But then you can't sell a product and make money. It's much easier to make a profit by convincing people to buy a object they don't really need than it is to sell helpfull information which makes jogging safer.
