Everyone has a weakness of some sort, whether it be buying weird stuff one sees on late-night infomercials or ordering entire fast-food menus. This can extend to everything from music to daydreams, as a pretty normal part of being human is finding pleasure in things you would probably not admit to the folks around you.
Someone asked “What is a guilty pleasure of yours no one knows about?” and people spilled the beans. So get comfortable as you read through, upvote your favorites and be sure to share your personal vices in the comments section below.

I leave for work earlier than I need to so that I can go to the harbour beforehand for a calming coffee and smoke with the view of the early morning mist rolling across the sea, and the early morning fishing charters leaving for the day.
I like to vividly imagine scenarios I'd rather be in. I'm a chronic daydreamer.
Cross stitching. I'm a nearly 20 year old man and I've spent hours at a time doing those damn samplers!!!
Walmart sold a cat kit that was very detailed and I finished it in maybe 2 months, its my magnum opus to this day.
Nothing wrong with this. Former NFL Player Rosie Grier loved needlepoint. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosey_Grier
You are awesome!! Don’t hide your skill or think it’s too girly!👍🙂
Cross stitch and embroidery are incredibly useful, creative and relaxing to do. But your chosen picture isn't of cross stitch 🤷🏻♀️😊
Cross Stitcher's unite! I think that it's awesome for anyone to do it!!
That's embroidery NOT cross stitch, which I can't really do anymore even with my contacts. Script gets a little stronger every year or two.
I fantasize about living a happy life with a partner who is as happy about me as I am about them. Just someone to go do things with. 🤷🏼♂️.
I never thought I'd get that. But now I do, and I love him to the end of the world
I sometimes fantasize about just not being alive any more. I'm not going to take my own life or anything, but it's somehow comforting to imagine not having to carry around all the burdens that come with life.
It's called Passive Suicidal Ideation; it's a real thing and it's 100% fine to seek treatment for it. PSI can be a warning sign of other mental illnesses or burnout, and a sign you need some TLC
I leave work once a week and go to a movie theater and have a 2 hour lunch of popcorn and soda while I watch a new movie.
Especially when it’s cold or there is some major weather event going on, I usually will just lie in bed and think about how nice it is to have my wife and kids safe and secure under one roof. I’m not an actual hard core prepper but I do think having food, water, supplies gives me a sense of comfort.
Browsing houses on Zillow that I don’t plan on buying.
I love doing this. I have a folder where I save ones I particularly like. I also collect floor plans. It's nice to have to have floor plans available if I'm writing and want to describe a house, or if I'm building something on SIMS or House Flipper. But I also just really like floor plans.
I daydream about leaving everything behind and disappearing. I would live in a camper somewhere out in Wyoming where it’s quiet and away from the daily noise that brings me down everyday.
I have similar fantasies except it always involves getting on a boat and sailing away into the wide blue yonder. In reality, the last two times I was out of the country I had crippling anxiety the entire time, so I know I'd never actually be able to do it. (Also I don't have a boat or any knowledge of sailing other than the difference between the prow and the stern).
Talking to my cats as if they are my actual children… took them to the vet for a checkup over my annual physical once… i will do anything for them.
Don't neglect your health. They need you to be well so you can care for them.
Staying up all night. It's bad for me but sometimes I get obsessed with a book or something. .
Me just here between 5 and 6 in morning not sleeping. Half doom scrolling..
I daydream about making enough money to be comfortable, owning my home, having a supportive partner and being happy. You know. Fantasy stuff.
Longing for societal collapse so I can avoid work tomorrow.
Before bed, I often find myself imagining in detail how things might have turned out if I had made a different choice about something important from my past.
I'm a forty year old man that watches Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I'm 58 and we've just finished watching all seven seasons - for the third time
Besides my wife, no one knows my guilty pleasure is smelly stuff. I'm a dude but love me some scented candles.
That was not the smelly stuff I'd first imagined 😅 smelly stuff translate for me to some unpleasant smell?
I like to dance with my wife. By dance I mean traditional waltz (family makes us all learn, mother in law and my mom have been friends since kindergarten so she put her in the same class as me). She thinks I hate it because when we were kids I wouldn't stop growing so I was always stepping on her toes when we had to practice together.
I spent way too many years b***hing about the lessons for me to admit that I like it when she asks.
I love going to stores that sell junk and browsing. I love stores like At Home, Dollar Tree and Loves Truck Stops.
Me too. You never know what you might find! *shows off soap dispenser shaped like a lemon*
Rockstar by Nickleback.
Christmas movies anytime I have a night to myself. Doesn’t matter what time of year. Just pure comfort.
I love reading smut/sex fantasy books about fantasies I'll never be able to make happen.
Gas station hot dogs.
My restaurant was just recently voted #1 in a reasonably large city. We're all honored, it's a great achievement.
And I can't say no to friggin' gas station dogs.
*rolling hotdogs from five hour ago* (or me just not knowing hot gas station hot dogs work?)
I love taking sips of hot coffee and at the same time taking a bite of chocolate or any sweet baked good and letting it melt in my mouth with the coffee.
So first you take a bite of whatever ( I like a chocolate timbit) and then follow it up with a sip of coffee. Thank me later
like they invented this...."thank me later." Doin' it for 40 yrs now. YOU'RE WELCOME.
I’m a dude in my 40s. My guilty pleasure is female pop music. When I’m with friends, I listen to hardcore rap and hip hop. But when I’m chilling on my own, I secretly listen to top 40 pop music like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa.
My Hubby knoes more songs by Taylor Swift and will happily sing out loud and dosnt care who is listening, you do you ✌️
I chop up and freeze bite size slices of lemon and eat them in the late hours of the night sometimes. For extra deliciousness, I dip them in maple syrup.
I fantasize about enjoying a routine and sticking to it each day.
I want to say something deep, but it’s imitation crab. I love imitation crab SO MUCH. When I’m feeling s****y I know I can just buy a pack of (flake style) imitation crab & eat the entire thing.. I like to find where each individual start of the wind is & start unwinding it & just kind of munch it up like a noodle.
Seriously, that stuff is so good! I can't get it very often, especially since my wife won't touch it.
I wash in between my toes and it makes me feel SOOOO much f*****g cleaner, for some reason.
I love the feeling of glass…I just rub it and run my fingers over it. The more polished the better, or frosted glass with texture omg…. Idk why I do it. I panic if my smartphone has a scratch in the screen. I feel it. And I promise you…I notice it even if it’s light surface scratches.
The feel of real Chinese silk. There are impressive imitators, but nothing like the real thing.
When the dog gets up in the middle of the night to pee, I go to fridge and cheese while I wait for them to be ready to come in.
I actually like the lunchables pizza with pepperoni and have gotten it last week.
It’s high in sodium and unhealthy so I don’t think ima have it again but it was nostalgic as hell.
I love having an "eat like a 7 year old" dinner - with all the things you can only have at kids' parties 😆
I have a monitor at work that has TV Shopping on it all day, I've never bought a thing but there's something addictive about watching it.
The funny "clumpsy" humans that fake being bad at ordinary stuff. Or just as company in the background?
When I take my socks off after work, I like to give em a lil sniff.
I sometimes don’t eat an entire day cause I feel I don’t deserve food. Starving serves as my punishment and pleasure.
I love listening to Kero Kero Bonito. My background and past does not lead to being a kkb fan, but here I am.
I pet stuffed animals I see at the shop. Some jerk kid saw me doing it once and made a nasty comment but I don't care; the soft plush feels nice.
I'm not sure it's really a guilty pleasure. I don't really feel guilty, but I guess I do feel weird admitting it to people in person--not that it often comes up anyway. But my absolute favorite way of escaping is playing GTA V online. I'm a 50 year old woman. I play it almost daily and the days I'm not playing it, I'm thinking about it. In real life I love going to LA so it isn't a huge stretch that I love Los Santos. But it's also my swanky apartment, my extensive wardrobe, and my massive collection of cars. Plus, I'm running a pretty successful criminal empire.
Nothing wrong with this. Since it's illegal to do in real life video games are the best alternative.
Load More Replies...I think a lot of them weren't guilty pleasures, but people going through a rough time. My guilty pleasure is watching everything about Eurovision song contest. I always take the week off and enjoy everything comfortable in pj's on the couch.
Best thing about the Eurovision, is that it's also just before a bit football thing in the UK I forget what, I don't care... But there's always someone who wants the football week off annual leave... And will happily swap with me for the Eurovision week off.... So I genuinely get Eurovision off each year too....
Load More Replies...My guilty pleasure is having the house totally to myself, no kids, no hubby. I can do what I want. Bliss.
I loved being by myself in the house since I was a kid! Not to do anything dodgy, but to clean/tidy up things without any disturbance or judgement 😆
Load More Replies...My guilty pleasure is watching the first two Twilight movies. They don't portray the greatest love-relationships, but I don't watch them for the romance. Nor for the vampires, since... you know... they sparkle. What I love in those movies is how the Cullens love each other and help each other out. The way they treat Bella, I don't know, it's just comforting. This and the mood. I love fog, I love rainy towns and green forests.
Most of these aren't guilty pleasures, just pleasures. The guilty part comes from society or family or some group considering the action to be uncommon or taboo. No one should consider something like enjoying a sunset with an SO to be a guilty pleasure. Enjoying a sunset with your SO on a park bench while you're both naked would be more worthy of the term "guilty pleasure". 😉
I have a pair of jeans I keep just to touch. I love how they feel and they have a nice crease that I rub between my fingers.
My guilty pleasure is making up a sodium citrate cheese sauce way too thick and dipping whatever bread product I have in it like some kind of demented fondue ritual. It's much easier than actually making a proper fondue and tastes better in my opinion! I probably eat way too much cheese and bread because of it...
There are no “demented” fondue rituals, only fondue rituals.
Load More Replies...I happily play Minecraft and enjoy watching Minecraft content. Very excited the new Life Series has just dropped this weekend.
Too many addicted to unhealthy eating choices, no-one admitting to anything kinky.
