50 Times People Decorated Their Houses For Halloween And Left Everyone Speechless (New Pics)
It’s that time of the year when we roll up our sleeves, get into the creative mood and make something so spookily wonderful that it sends chills down the neighbors' spine. And while you still have time to figure out what you are gonna wear for Halloween (or shall we stop pretending and just face the fact that we all are going to dress as the green-tracksuited players from Squid Game), the house interior and exterior can’t wait.
So in order to get your Halloween decor ideas flowing, we compiled a collection of some of the scariest and most creative endeavors that turned people’s houses into something that looks straight out of a spooktacular movie set.
From hyperreal zombie apocalypse exterior decor that would make my heart skip a beat if I was to pass by the house to a corpse edition “Woman Yelling at a Cat” staged in real life, the imagination is simply endless. Scroll down, upvote your favorite decors and share your own ideas and Halloween projects in the comment section!

Ask Me How
Bored Panda reached out to Black, the creator and editor of “Halloween Love,” a website for all things Halloween and horror. The project has quite a loyal fanbase on Facebook with 17k people tuning in for some spooky entertainment.
So we asked Black what Halloween decoration trend is really buzzing this year, and he said that he’s seen a ton of people buying “these giant, 12-foot skeletons.” In fact, the 12-foot Home Depot skeleton is selling out already ahead of Halloween and going viral on TikTok. Although the skeleton will set you back $299 if you're lucky enough to find one in a store, the resellers are listing them on Ebay for double, triple and even more than the original price. One listing sold the item for a whopping $1,200, making it a real sought-after Halloween luxury.

Terrifying
The good news is that making a unique Halloween decoration is not only about getting the trendiest props. Black said that “anything you actually make yourself is going to be inherently unique,” referring to the growing DIY culture of making spooktacular decor from scratch. “The only thing you can really get wrong is not having fun with it,” he said.
Moreover, if you’re wondering what Halloween props never go out of style, Black said “you can never go wrong with orange Halloween lights. I keep them up indoors year-round.” And when it comes to Halloween dress-up looks for this year, Black said that we can expect to see “A LOT of Squid Game costumes.”

Found These Halloween Decorations In My Community This Morning
I used to live in different parts of North America and miss this. Currently living in the UK; if I put even just a single plastic skeleton in my front garden, it would be nicked by morning :((
Yeah people used to steal our decorations. What we started doing is we got a doorbell camera and used it to shame anyone who stole our decorations. Problem solved (i guess)
Load More Replies...Giving Hubby ideas. Which he doesn't need. Young parents now come to our house with infants and tell the poor kids, "This is the house that scared us when we were little!" or "This is the COOL house!" And now we have three neighbors on our road who are competing with us for the title every year. Covid lockdown was the big inspiration for much of it, however.
Well that is called success! Would love to see photos!
Load More Replies...We just started lawn decorations for Halloween this year. Been thinking about it for years and years, finally got around to doing it. Set up 3 fake crows on top of some straw bales and I swear the crow population exploded around our house for a couple of weeks.
I have samhainophobia and I would have a heart attack if I saw some of these houses
i just googled wat samhainophobia is. it makes me sad decorations and costumes r wat make halloween halloween. the fact that there r ppl who have a fear of it is sad. i wish u could enjoy it like the rest of us. out of curiousity wat do u do the day of halloween?
Load More Replies...I really enjoy seeing these...where people put in time and effort to make these...it's so amazing. They clearly love doing it and it shows.
I used to love decorating for Halloween. I even built a chaser ghost. It would fly from the front door, chase you down the sidewalk, the fly up into our walnut tree, then return to the front door. I used heavy gauge fishing line, bike tires & a fan motor on a movement sensor. The neighborhood kids loved it.
A lot of these look as though somebody threw up Halloween. I love Halloween decorations!
I LOVE Halloween, always have. I used to spend weeks putting up decorations, and I'm old school... inflatables and purple string lights are NOT acceptable decor. The best are homemade. As time went on, I was spending all this time decorating, and fewer and fewer kids were making the rounds. One year I had three trick-or-treaters. (auto correct wanted to change that to "trick-or-anteaters" which is hilarious) I guess they all go to Disney or Universal now. Between the dwindling numbers, and the vandalism, it just isn't worth it. It's sad though... I really miss it.
This is all crazy! We don't really celebrate Halloween where I live except a bit of trick or treating mostly by really young kids in their own street. As someone who hate horror I would find much if this creepy especially at night. Are there ever issues with people thinking things are too graphic or unsuitable for kids to see?
