Kris Neal, potter and the owner of Fire & Earth Pottery, just took the satisfaction of art to a whole new level. He posted a video on his Instagram account showing the application of a slip to a previously made ceramic bowl. His video has been viewed more than a million times already and it’s really no wonder – showing a slip creating a spiral effect at a slow speed is somehow oddly satisfying.

Share on FacebookIncredible technique, I preferred it white and not painted, I think it brings out the form so much better.
I ten to agree, sorta. Everyone ought to have their own creative idea of what they would do. While white is very classic and will never fight the dining decor, I think I'd put a small, wild iris floret in the center. Or maybe something else?
