After Lockdown, I Was Happy To Explore Rome Again So I Drew These 19 Illustrations Of My Cat Walking Around The City
After having spent months under strict lockdown here in Rome, Italy (during which I spent most of my time drawing my project of 'The Roman Quarantine', which I have posted here before), I felt delighted to explore my city again. The beauty of Rome was being accentuated even more by the lack of people around.
It inspired me to combine my two favorite things in the world; Rome, and my black cat Stanis. I imagined his experiences, walking around the city, and seeing the sites; admiring the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, playing with the oranges in the Orange Garden, taking a nap in Trastevere, or floating around on a rowboat in Villa Borghese. My project is still ongoing, with new adventures of Stanis, which you can find on my Instagram page.

Super sweet, delightful illustrations! I visited Roma for the first time last year and it could only have been better with a cute kitty safely in tow
This artwork lends itself well to a calendar-- can you imagine these beautiful illustrations representing a different month, esp. if there was something seasonal about them? Brava!
