I’m not a professional photographer, but I love taking pictures, mostly of the food that I whip up in the kitchen for my family. Our dinner becomes my inspiration. My aim is to snap a shot of a beautiful meal, and make the picture speak. It should capture the flavor and aroma of the dish and make the viewers crave to run for their apron and whisk and try my recipes.
I’m probably not always successful at this, but I do put in my best effort!
With my quick and easy recipes, I want to show my readers that even with a busy schedule, you can find the time to prepare a homemade and wholesome dinner. Per Italian tradition, I find it extremely important to end my day at the dinner table with my family.

Today, I want to show you that you don’t need to be a pastry chef to bake a deliciously tempting dessert
These beautiful and elegant apple roses are the perfect example
If you check out the steps of my recipe, you will see that it’s not that hard to make this dessert
All you need to do is stretch out and cut the puff pastry, spread with apricot preserve, place the thin and soft apple slices on the dough
Sprinkle them with cinnamon (of course!) and roll up the pastry
After 45 minutes in the oven, you will have an amazing and deliciously healthy dessert
I promise you: yours will be just as beautiful as mine
You will not only be impressed by the look of these apple roses, but also by their taste: naturally sweet, organic apple slices rolled up in perfectly crispy and buttery puff pastry
Now tell me: do these pictures speak to you?!?

Share on FacebookI will definitely have to try cooking this -- looks absolutely scrummy and good enough for guests -- well done!
Thank you so much Michelle! I also made a video for this recipe. It might be useful if you are planning to try it out. Thanks again!
Load More Replies...I tried this recipe last night. It was delicious. However, my puff pastry was a little overcooked. I left it in for 45 mins. Could it be that it was because it was in a tin cupcake pan?
you should really pre-heat the apple slices (in the microwave for example) to make them soft enough to roll tightly.. :)

Used a Fugi apple which tends to be crisp. I soaked the apples in lemon juice for 3 minutes. They didn't bend, they broke and cracked. Any suggestions on how to overcome that? What apples are best for this application?
My apple skin burnt. It was only the skin so would you recommend covering it or risk turning oven down (and pastry not cooking). Otherwise these are totally fab!!
I made one hundred of these or a friend's birthday earlier this year.
OOOOOoooooo, i cannot wait to try this out, they look so beautiful and yummy!
At what oven temperature do these need to be baked? They look absolutely divine!
This looks absolutely divine! My only question is, at what temperature should I bake them?
I am(!) sort of professional photographer and a graphic designer and yes(!) your pictures do speak with help as the wonderful recipe itself
i think i'd like to know what temperature to set my oven to so I don't burn them
What is the puff pastry? Is it something you buy at the grocery or did you make it?
I bought pillsbury pie crust in the dairy isle.
Load More Replies...Amazing and yummy and easy to make. But I personally wouldn't think it was that healthy with pastry and jam as two of the main ingredients.
At what temperature? They look so wonderful, and easy, thank you! But I don't want to burn them
What temperature did you bake them at? I would love to do these for my little luncheons with friends. Thank you for posting
Too bad this is stolen from a French chef called alain Passard. It's still good looking.
I made 100 of these for a friend's birthday party. I peeled the apples, the skins will be tough when baked, paint sugar water to get colour.
