Road Rage “Karen” Who Got Body-Slammed After Punching Man Unprovoked Breaks Her Silence

A woman who went viral after being body-slammed by a man amid a road ragefuelled incident has broken her silence, revealing she has “learned her lesson.”

A viral road rage incident in Toledo, Ohio, USA, earlier this month saw a woman, who has now been identified as 36-year-old Katreena Aiken, being body-slammed after attacking a male driver during a heated confrontation.

Highlights
  • Katreena Aiken broke her silence, admitting she learned her lesson after a viral road rage incident.
  • The road rage altercation happened in Toledo, Ohio, USA, on January 4.
  • Katreena attacked a male driver first, leading to her being body-slammed to the ground.

The altercation began when Katreena exited her car to confront the man and escalated as she threw an unprovoked punch at the man, who responded by slamming her to the ground.

According to reports, Katreena voluntarily identified herself as the “Karen” seen in the now-viral incident.

A “Karen” is slang that refers to a middle-class white woman who is perceived as entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is normal.

Katreena consequently took to her local community Facebook page to confirm her identity as the driver of the distinctive blue Ford sedan seen in the video that exposed the incident, The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday (January 14).

Her admission reportedly sparked a slew of questions from other members, including whether she managed to “learn that day.”

She responded: “Sure did! Hopefully, we all learned a lesson! Ifktr [I know that’s right].”

In the video capturing the dispute that took place on January 4, Katreena is seen emerging from her blue sedan, which abruptly came to a halt.

She was subsequently filmed shouting profanities at the driver behind her. “Let’s go, get out of the f***ing car,” the woman screamed as she opened her arms toward the other driver, Bored Panda previously reported.

She has since broken her silence, revealing she has “learned her lesson”

The situation intensified when the man stepped out of the passenger side of the other vehicle to engage with her.

The man seemingly tried to calm Katreena down; however, as he walked away, she threw a punch from behind, smacking him in the face.

“My man’s right f***ing there. Come and put your f***ing hands on me,” Katreena had been yelling at him before physically attacking him.

After being punched, the man, dressed in pajamas, consequently fired back with a punch of his own. In a violent twist of events, he went on to lift Katreena and slam her to the ground.

The mom-of-one was reportedly seen lying on the ground briefly, groaning and holding her head in apparent pain.

Nevertheless, this is not Katreena’s first encounter with legal issues; online records reveal she received a 60-day suspended jail sentence in 2011 for obstructing a business, The Mail reported.

She reportedly pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge and was fined $1,000 along with court costs. Additional details about the case remain undisclosed.

Neither party involved in the viral altercation has filed a report since the incident.

Prince Flores, a spokesperson with the Toledo Police Department, told WTVG that nobody called the incident in, so it has not been investigated.

He said: “We are all going somewhere when we are driving. We want you to make sure you’re getting there safely.

“When you’re rushing, you’re late, you’re trying to get through traffic and traffic is backed up you can kinda get upset with things.”

The officer continued: “If you feel like someone is just aggressively making actions to kinda get your attention, driving too close, honking their horn, things like that.”

“What we want you to do is try to get away from them as safely as you can. If it continues to be a problem call 911.”

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration defines road rage as “an intentional assault by a driver or passenger with a motor vehicle or a weapon that occurs on the roadway or is precipitated by an incident on the roadway.”

Only a few states – most recently Utah – have passed laws specifically defining and punishing road rage.

The situation intensified when the man stepped out of the passenger side of the other vehicle to engage with her

If cases are prosecuted at all, they tend to fall under broader assault or homicide laws. That makes finding data on road rage incidents particularly challenging, Pew Research Center explained.

As of October 2024, according to the Gun Violence Archive (GVA) data, 116 people have been killed in road rage incidents involving guns, versus 109 through the first 10 months of 2023.

According to the GVA, which is one of the few sources with some insight into road rage in the US, injuries in these incidents are running a bit lower – 302 through October, compared with 320 in the same period last year.

“I bet she’ll keep her hands to herself next time,” a reader commented

Sorry, no sympathy for her. She literally attacked him when his back was turned. He was trying to distance himself from the situation but she did not let him. If you are that far gone, a bodyslam is the least you can expect.

“My man’s right f***ing there. Come and put your f***ing hands on me." "My man" is way smarter than Karen and stayed in the car rather than getting pulled into her nonsense. I cannot stand people who pull this garbage "Yeah I'm smaller than you, but I've got a big friend with me so I'm gonna start something I can't finish on my own."

She punched him (not a slap!) as he walked away without touching her. He punched her, but knew if she was still standing, she’d come at him again. The body slam was justified. She’s lucky she wasn’t badly hurt, but that was a chance she wanted to take apparently.

The whole 'Reasonable Force' thing? The night my ex attacked me? (TW) I used Reasonable Force, by the legal definition, to defend myself. The police did agree, I told them everything during the various interviews, especially the first ones the night it happened. Basically, I was already on the floor after the worst of his attack and, this was the only time I touched him at all, I reached up, grabbed his *balls* through his jeans and twisted and pulled, then bit the front of his ankle to try and buy time to get out of my front door, away. I was trying to get away. That's reasonable force in the UK, at least it was at the time. What wouldn't have been was if I'd continued. It's tricky with the laws in different countries but the aim is to buy time to get away from the attacker, not actually cause serious damage or bodily harm.

All what happened was weird and unjustified. The real thing that concerns me is that the road is iced and she clearly has been driving wearing Crocs*. Was she wanting to win a Darwin's award ? Also, the guy in pajama bottoms and slippers...not really something to wear to get out of the house, on a snowy day. *You can see clearly these aren't snow ready shoes.

Judge the following situation: Teenager girl throwing hands in her mom's direction, threatening her with the use of force. Has physically attacked her mother during an argument on another day, prior to this one. (Hurt her mother's hand after throwing her at a kitchen cupboard, which then fell on her hand.) Hearing and seeing the teenager was about to lash out at her mother, I ordered her to go to her room. Was answered I shall not interfere. The girl continued behaving aggressively and escalating further. So I put my hands on her shoulders and pushed her out of the room (not aggressively but firmly). As she was crossing the second door, I put my hands down and she threw a fist punch at my chest and immediately after that she slapped my cheek. I didn't throw any revenge punches, but admittedly I got furious, so I yelled very loudly 'I'll kill you', as it was the hardest non physical answer at that moment. I never thoughtto physically attack her, but was desperate to make her retreat.

Seems there's a general hatred for Karens and as soon as someone is labeled as such, apparently they're allowed to be subject to assault? That's just ludicrous. I know that if she was black, brown, etc there would be fkin MAYHEM. TO THE GALLOWS!!...is what this would article would really be called. Seems we can't help but be extreme on one end or the other. While I agree with the slap the pyjama guy gave Karen, the throw was no longer a defense, but a counterattack. Leaving her lying still in the snow wasn't a brilliant idea. It's a hit-and-run and if Karen had any injuries, the guy would have gone to jail.

A lot of women think they can hit a man because "a man should never hit a woman." B******t. If you hit someone, they 100% have the right to hit you back. Keep your hands to yourself!

I'm 42 - those eyebrows of hers were the look when I was a young teenager but were over before I hit 20. Either she is WILDLY haggard for 36 or she's lying about her age. Or both.

Lots of my older friends, babysitters etc had brows like that. It’s the too wide and weird arch that is weird to me🤷🏼‍♀️ definitely a 36 year old who was trying to seem younger type of thing

I doubt she actually learned anything. she seems shameless and probably just revealed herself for attention.

That is the most 47 looking 37 year old I have ever seen. At least she seems to have learned to keep her hands to herself after this.

Too many women think that they can hit a man and get away with it. Men are taking women's c**p anymore so beware.

The bodyslam wasn't necessary but she deserved the knuckle sandwich.

Never get out of your car. Also don't take a swing. No the guy who slammed you should have remained as well and sorted it out. Also wondering what led to this.

I wonder...if that woman was black...would y'all feel the same? Seems there's a general hatred for Karens and as soon as someone is labeled as such, apparently they're allowed to be subject to assault? That's just ludicrous. I know that if she was black, brown, etc there would be fkin MAYHEM. TO THE GALLOWS!!...is what this would article would really be called. Seems we can't help but be extreme on one end or the other. Get your s**t together, society.

I would strongly advice attacking someone in retaliation. It might look satisfying but he could have easily hurt her badly, especially with the frozen conditions there.

She sucker punched him when he turned his back to her. She could have hurt him badly. She was trying to get inside the car to attack the woman driving. She was very much the foul mouthed aggressor.

While I agree with the slap the pyjama guy gave Karen, the throw was no longer a defense, but a counterattack. Leaving her lying still in the snow wasn't a brilliant idea. It's a hit-and-run and if Karen had any injuries, the guy would have gone to jail.
