30 Pictures Of Animals Who Escaped The Horror Of A Fur Farm And Now Live Happily At Sanctuaries
More than 50 million animals are killed for their fur each year. After spending their whole lives in tiny cages where they often suffer from aggression, auto-aggression, cannibalism, severe injuries, and stereotypy, they are killed inhumanely - by gassing or electrocution. Fortunately, some of the cute foxes and adorable minks manage to escape the horror of fur farming - with the help of an animal rights organization, an animal sanctuary, or on their own.
These animals got another chance at life. They were meant to die by a furrier's hand for “fashion,” but instead, the beautiful foxes are living their best lives at sanctuaries where they can rest, play, and explore. They are never going to be hurt again.

I am so glad that these animals were spared a horrible fate. Aside from the animal itself, no one needs a fur coat that badly.

It's sad these beautiful creatures have to live in cages for the rest of their life, but at least they have a life to live. I wish fur as clothing would outlawed, no reason to for any human to be wearing dead animals as clothes.

I would say the issue here is with waste. Not that it is a dead animal. People eat meat because they are omnivores. Those animals who where slaughtered for their meat have skins that can be used for leather. Bone which can be used in jewelery or knife handles or in other ways. If any part of a slaughtered animal is wasted it is wrong. Any creature that is endangered should not be slaughtered. It's about balance. Don't eat more meat than what you need. Don't consume more of anything that you need. And for the love of nature and all things beautiful and good DO NOT buy plastic fur! That's just consumerist bull!

I love furry critters as much as anyone who isn't a troglodyte. I am glad to see animals escape the fur trade, however, my larger objection to fur fashions is it just plain looks f*****g STOOPID!

I’m the opposite. I love all animals and wouldn’t ever hurt one but I think fur is gorgeous. Whether it’s on the animal who grew the fur or it’s a fake fur coat, I think fur is amazing and very stylish.

Amazing pics mate. My soul weeps for these beautiful animals. Why does anyone have the right to wear another's skin? Ugh i hate a large portion of mankind (ha what an ironic name). They are so cuddly and lovely and just want to live and be the animals they are, can't we just leave them alone?

Pass the tissues peta-vegans, I'm weeping...NOT. Most of the people who see this thread have in their wardrobe leather. Shoes? Bag? Belt? Jacket? So the skin is okay but not the skin with hair still on it? Your leather purse is just Bald Fur. Animals should be killed humanely and not suffer but there is nothing wrong with fur.

Man, it just depends on the source of the fur. Rhino horn is wrong because the kill an entire animal for just the horn and the often just injure the creature leaving it to bleed to death. Clubbing seals is wrong. It's cruel! Nough said. Killing a fox for only its fur is wrong. Using a sheep's skin for your baby to sleep on is fine. The sheep's meat was eaten. The fur was used and not wasted. Similarly with bovine leather the meat is used.
