Bert the Pomeranian doggie, who looks like a little bear, had a rough start in life, but today he is one of the fancy art connoisseurs living his dream in New York City. When he was five months old, Bert’s breeder abandoned him at an animal shelter as he thought he was too big to sell. That’s when Kathy Grayson, who owns an art gallery in NYC called The Hole, saw the cute puppy on the Internet and immediately knew she had to adopt him.
“There was just something about the look in his eyes,” Grayson told The Dodo. “I think that the next day in NYC we had an opening at my art gallery with hundreds of people and a dinner and after-party. From day one, Bert the Bear Cub was ready to join the art world!”
The cute dog’s sophisticated demeanor made him a sweetheart of the art world. “He is so calm and like… introspective,” Grayson said. “He’s been to dozens of openings, scores of art fairs in NYC, Miami, L.A… His motto is ‘Happy to be included!'”
Bert even likes to perform some art himself. “He will sit up like a person and dance for treats,” Grayson said. “I also trained him to kiss on command… It’s adorable but now there are no free kisses; he wants a treat for them!” Bert, sounds like you did good for yourself!

Share on FacebookThis is why people should not buy pets. Leftover or imperfect pets get thrown out like trash. ADOPT!!!!ADOPT!!!!ADOPT!!!!
Breeders need to be put out of business PERMANENTLY! 7 million dogs a year are euthanized in shelters and yet we have people who desire "pure bred", even though there is nothing "pure" about them....they are all mixed. Nature was never meant to be commoditized. Humans are a selfish breed and will continue this barbaric practice of tossing animals because they wont sell. How disgusting.
There are many breeders who actually take really good care of their dogs. Not everyone is a scummy "backyard breeder".
