Pointless and creates a false sense of safety. Far from everyone infected develops symptoms, even when they do, the symptoms do not necessarily include fever, and people who are going to develop symptoms can infect others at least a couple of days before the illness breaks out.

I think it's not registering name... In China now it's common to have your last 14 days whereabout checked upon entering a place. They do it by scanning QR code and checking the phone number used. It's the new normal. Either you do it or you don't get in.

I'd rather have them sanitizing their hands regularly than wearing gloves for extended periods of time and doing everything with them on. Seriously, watch someone for a few minutes who's wearing gloves.
