Artist Illustrates The Difficulties Girls Deal With In 50 Honest Comics
Interview With ArtistIf you’re a girl, you've probably had a moment in your life when you thought being a boy must be so much easier. Well, I'm not sure if boys ever have any similar questions spinning in their heads, but if they do, here’s something that might make them happy they’re not one of us. Or perhaps not!
Now, if you're a girl, you're in the right place, because we'd like to introduce you to the new artist making her debut on Bored Panda. The series 'Sheya Animation' focuses on the everyday life of girls and all the dilemmas many of them might have. These relatable comics showcase situations that almost all women have faced at some point in their lives, and some younger ladies are probably still experiencing.

Both boys and girls should learn to treat one another with respect. That’s what I was taught.
Bored Panda reached out to the illustrator behind the ‘Sheya Animation’ series and asked some questions regarding her work. Firstly, we wanted to know what inspired the artist to start creating comics, and we learned that: “I got inspired by other cartoonists and animators, mostly, and how funny they are, and I also wanted to create my own fan base and started creating my cartoons.”
The fact that the series is inspired by the author’s personal experiences makes it honest and relatable to many girls out there. As the illustrator shared with us: “My cartoon strips mainly follow a slice-of-life kind of pattern, childhood memories and day-to-day life are what my cartoons represent.”
As the artist shared with us when asked about more details about the characters featured in her comics: "The main character is a girl in her early to mid-twenties, and her parents and friends appear from time to time."
We were also wondering how the creator of the 'Sheya Animation' series comes up with ideas for her new strips. We found out: "I basically draw from my own experiences or something interesting I heard from a friend. And sometimes it's pure imagination."
Human math. Everybody does this and marketing departments know it.
Lastly, the artist told us what motivates her to create her comic series: “I like to make people laugh, and if my cartoons are making people laugh or smile, that's what my biggest influence is.”
Then the 0.0001%: “what is this ‘beauty products’ you speak of?”
I had an aunt at a family reunion tell me she didn't remember me. She had been living in Arizona since 1963 with no visits back to Ohio. I told her I was only 1 the last time she saw me, so it was okay.
It's sometimes easier to get forgiveness than permission, as the old adage says, but this doesn't apply to pets. Getting a pet is a decision that all parties should be 100% on board with.
I only had very mild period cramps despite having PCOS. Instead I had constant idiopathic pain throughout my abdomen that only stopped after a total hysterectomy. It was interesting because my period actually seemed mild compared to the pain I experienced the rest of the time. 🤷♀️ Our bodies are both weird and wonderful. One person's experience does not negate any others'.
Thank you. I had a coworker once who informed me that she didn't believe PMS was real because she had never experienced it. 🙄
Load More Replies...Same tho.😂 I literally have nothing except a little discomfort and mayyybbeee some mood swings. My sister gets literally everything.
Load More Replies...LUCKY. I F*****G HATE CRAMPS. ITS LIKE “oh, you feel dysphoric? great, here’s a painful (literally) reminder that you can’t get a hysterectomy because you’re closeted and broke as s**t!”
If you are in the USA (which I sort of assume because being broke figures into your healthcare, but sorry if I am assuming too much) Planned Parenthood might be able to help you financially with some options that aren't a hysterectomy but could substantially reduce or eliminate period symptoms also without being oral birth control. Also, that sucks and I'm sorry, and I genuinely wish you the best of luck with whatever choice seems right for you.
Load More Replies...My ex was type one but I somehow could tell her [highly irregular] period was going to start tomorrow so we could get the pallet of aleve, make sure the heating pad worked, etc. Her doctor finally put her on birth control and then she made type twos jealous; light bleeding for about 2.5 days and nothing else.
If you’re type one, get yourself checked for adenomyosis, endometriosis, PCOS, PID, fibroids etc. Don’t live with it untreated for 10 or more years like a lot of us did, and most importantly: don’t accept “period pain is normal” as an answer!
And the moment type two says that, all us type one's become entities of carnage, rabidly tearing through a box of chocolates since harming others is frowned upon. 🤣
Here's some fun information for a lot of girls and women: if your period is causing you pain anywhere from the point where you can't stand up straight to the other end where you're passing out from pain, it's not normal and something needs to be checked. It's SUPPOSED to be that the pain is mild and more like when you're sore from a heavy exercise rather than someone stabbing you, punching you, and whatever else. No body says these things because there's no sex ed in schools
Idk I like cramps, period, all the feelings even if they're uncomfortable it reminds me how amazing being female and vulnerable can be, but if it was disabling like type 1 it'd be a different opinion ofc
This is one big reason I stay on birth control pills all the time- no more stupid periods, plus it was the only thing that stopped my cystic acne.
It happened the opposite for me. I'm a lil hedgehog, I need to be comfortable first to be cute and sweet.
Or it comes right back. "heyyyy you thought I was gone? nah'
Me with my bf. I sometimes get insecure because I can imagine life without him and other girls "can't live without" their bfs, but then I remember love is a choice. I want him.
I have this with mascara. The lashes of the right eye behave when meeting mascara while the left refuses to play nice.
Aesthetic relativism is the philosophical view that the judgement of beauty is relative to different individuals and/or cultures and that there are no universal criteria of beauty.
I learned as a freshman in a generally sophomore chemistry class to shut up about how much I did (or didn't) study before an exam. Mind you, I took notes and did the homework, and it was still serious work, but sometimes you don't have to openly talk about how you feel going into an assessment.
That's when you do the awkward admiration of the ceiling, floor, or literally anything else you can look at

you mean wide leg? wide leg pants don't even look good on the models...sorry
those are an expensive short-cut, Instead, help your jeans earn those holes.
You don't have to be an incel to dislike this trash lmao
Load More Replies...more personal than anything else
Load More Replies...What was thee point of any of these comics? There was no punchline or anything. Just some random b describing random happenings in their life. Like tf?
Wow what is up with this comment section, more mention of periods than they could handle? o.O
Naw it's just s****y artwork and people are rightly pointing it out.
Load More Replies...I was taking a s**t while reading this and standing up and looking in the bowl after, I realized I made something better than any of these comics. This isn't for women, it's for the "artist" and nobody else.
Do you expect artists to have a different motivation? Because none of them do. Hobbies exist because the hobbyist wants to do it, not because they want to do it for someone else. That's called work.
Load More Replies...Wowzers that's a lot of stereo typing. Projecting. Misandry. Misanthropic rhetoric. Horrible communication skills. Passive aggressive bs. The artist and her mom NEED THERAPY! Together and seperate. None of this is healthy
