Childhood Nostalgia: 30 Relatable Comics By An Indonesian Artist
Interview With ArtistProbably everyone's childhood was filled with interesting adventures, explorations and experiences that are hard to forget. Even the most random and silly ideas and actions of the past are now remembered with a smile on one's face. Some childhood memories create a nostalgic feeling that makes one want to go back to those "better" and carefree times when everything was easier (thinking from an adult perspective).
Bored Panda invites you to remember your childhood and things that you did as a kid by sharing illustrations of early years created by Dhany Pramata. He is an Indonesian artist who captured his childhood memories in nice and funny comics. Can you relate to them?

Dhany or Bang Dhan has loved art since his childhood. "When I was in school, I became a cartoonist for the tabloids. I also often participated in drawing competitions at that time." In 2012, the artist started posting his artwork on Instagram, which received a lot of attention from other people. When asked which part of his creative process the artist likes the most, Dhany told Bored Panda that the sketching part is his favorite, because it is the first process in drawing.

It's almost impossible to not feel nostalgic by looking at these illustrations. Dhany confessed that he really likes the feeling of nostalgia: "it makes my heart happy. If other people express their ideas through photos or writing, then I express my ideas through cartoons and comics." The artist also admitted that in his opinion, times have changed a lot: "there are many things that we can't see anymore."
Nobody Wanted Their Schoolwork To Be On Top Of The Pile On The Teacher's Desk
Yes, I remember that... And there were even theories. Some said that if your work is good it should be last because it will look even better in contrast to all the crap there was before, and some other people said your work should be last if it was bad because the teacher would have got tired and lowered their standards.
