My name is Jakub Pavlovsky and I’m a 22-year-old supporter of reading books. I was born in Slovakia but I’ve been living in the capital of the Czech Republic for fourteen years. Almost a year ago, I realized that people weren’t reading books as much as they did before. Nowadays, they prefer modern technology rather than lovely and interesting books. Of course, there are still many bookworms who never forget about the beauty of good books written on paper.

Therefore, I created a project called “BOOK’S CALLING” and posted on Bored Panda – I want to spread a traditional idea through a modern system. The project’s motto is “Make Time For Reading. Anywhere, Anytime.” My interesting photos are deliberate exaggeration. I think that if somebody wants to achieve something and wants to change society or set new trends, it is necessary to be unconventional, brave, and determined.

I’m so glad that many people joined the project by taking their own pictures with books and sharing them on social media with the hashtag #bookscalling. I encourage everybody who would like to contribute with their photos – together we can make a marvelous gallery and, at the same time, share the idea of reading books.
