40 Artists Bloom In A Special Coloring Book

A vibrant tapestry of creativity and support is blooming in Rockland County, New York thanks to a unique collaboration between 40 talented artists and PFLAG Rockland. The artists have donated their original artwork, creating a stunning collection for the ‘Pride in Bloom’ Coloring Book, a project designed to raise funds and LGBTQ+ awareness.

PFLAG Rockland, a chapter of the national organization Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, provides support, education, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ youths, their families and allies.

This special coloring book features a diverse range of styles and themes, reflecting the complexity of the LGBTQ+ community. From whimsical floral illustrations to bold figurative designs, each page offers a unique opportunity for creative expression for adults and children.

‘I was immediately drawn to the project,’ said June VanDunk, one of the participating artists. ‘It’s a chance to use my art to make a positive impact and contribute to a cause I believe in.’

The extraordinary collaboration between the 40 artists and PFLAG Rockland is a testament to the power of art to bring people together and create positive change. By coloring the pages of this book, individuals can not only unleash their creativity but also contribute to a more inclusive and accepting world for all.

The ‘Pride in Bloom’ Coloring Book is available for purchase by emailing pflagrocklandny@gmail.com. All proceeds directly benefit PFLAG Rockland, enabling them to continue providing essential services to the LGBTQ+ community, including support groups, educational workshops, and advocacy initiatives.

On October 8th at 6:00pm, you can join PFLAG Rockland, meet the artists, buy the coloring book and make a difference at a free celebration at the Valley Cottage Library, 110 Route 303, Valley Cottage NY, all welcome.
