Pregnant Doggo Gets Her Very Own Baby Shower, And Twitter Just Can’t Handle It

Breaking news – a pregnant pit bull mamma named Winter just had a baby shower. Her owner, Gisselle O. Suarez, shared three pictures from the party on Twitter with the following caption: “Yes, we did throw her a baby shower.” The post went viral, because… I mean, just look at that dog!

The pregnant doggie wore an adorable blue tutu and was the centre of attention. We can see the canine smiling from ear to ear while looking at a platter of sandwiches that were put right next to gift bags full of baby shower gifts. Oh, and the whole ceremony took place on a romantic beach – a venue that every pregnant mum would surely appreciate.

Yup, sometimes all one needs to cheer up is seeing a pregnant dog in a blue tutu having a baby shower – and reminding us that no matter what, love wins.

I didn't up vote or down vote - I'm mixed. The idea is super cute; BUT it is irresponsible not to spay and neuter your pets. I'll go out on a limb and say she is fostering the dog who was already preggers.

Luna.. At some point in the future if the human population keeps increasing at this pace we will experience scarce of resources and shelters. At that point we will probably go on a killing spree on our of kind and/or some how stop majority of people from producing to try and restore balance to the human population on Earth. Yeah that's messed up and hopefully that never happens but it the only way to solve that situation for now. There are about 525 MILLION dogs and about 600 MILLION cats in the world based on the records in 2015, 70 MILLION of those cats and dogs are strays now imagine how many animal shelters in the US are full of stray animals. I don't know about you but I rather stop my dog from producing puppies that I know I can't take care for than to put them in a shelter which there is a good chance of them getting killed if they are not adopted by a certain time. And I'm pretty sure most the people at the shelters hate putting animals down but they have no choice! Luna I know you think neutering pets is cruel and but it's also sad that the population of strays, animals in shelters and animals who are going to be put down will never decrease or be no more if people don't fully understand the reasoning neutering pets is acceptable.

Okay, okay, G U Y S. Bring on those downvotes, let me sink, but I see nothing wrong with this. Its a light-hearted party for a pregnant dog with little puppies due. I'm not complaining about spaying/neutering, and you shouldn't either. The dog already got pregnant. The dogs are probably already born. There's nothing we can do, so shut up and let people enjoy things. Every time there's something lighthearted and happy here on BP, one cynical panda has to find a small scratch on the diamond. Let's just look into the reality of it- people took precious time of life to create a fun celebration for a dog with puppies due. Aaaand you're aiming for the downvote button.

Some dogs will continue to act as animals and yes, gasp, breed. We don't know their family so it's not our place to pass judgement.

That's bull s**t. You should not own a pet if you don't plan on altering it just like you should not have a kid if you don't plan on vaccinating it. It's f*****g irresponsible and I will judge where judgement is warranted. Also where it's not.

Cute pup, but I hope they´re gonna get her spayed/neutered and find homes for all the puppies once they´re big enough to be adopted, please always remember: #AdoptDontShop, people shouldn´t breed anymore while the shelters´re exploding with adorable pups, kitties, rabbits and what other pets either, and in the USA and in many other countries they "euthanize" the surrendered/dumped/abandoned pets, often after less than 72 hours, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and some other European countries don´t have ANY kill shelters, but here the shelters often almost burst, then other shelters must take some of the pets to adopt them out!!! 💖💖💖

Re: spay and neuter. My friend is a *very* responsible breeder. She's professionally handled dogs since she was a teenager and has trained them as service animals. She breeds Goldens. Each puppy goes to a good home. She knows this because she keeps in contact with every single person who buys a puppy from her via facebook. She makes them sign a contract beforehand that states thus. When she reveals herself to be a breeder, she gets called all sorts of horrible things, like murderer and beast and others I can't name here. I think people *also* need to educate themselves. Not all purposely bred puppies end up in shelters.

It's not about the purebred puppies that end up in shelters. It's about the people who buy purebred dogs and then end up not getting a dog from a shelter, a dog which may then very well be put down because there is no room to home all of them. Any dog you breed is another dog to the dog population, whether you search for new homes for them or not. It's a bit silly to name a breeder a murderer or beast, but breeding dogs regardless is not a responsible thing to do. Not until the overpopulation problem is under control.

Who cares why the dog is or isnt spayed. This isn't about spaying or not spaying, this is about something cute someone did for a dog they love very much, obviously to do this for her. Now don't you think that being said, this person is going to love the puppies and care where they're homed? I'd have to guess so. In all my years of dog grooming, the people who do things like this for thier pets, don't actually have pets they have a family member and treats them as such. Also when people like this have a littler they tend to be protective of the said pups and more often then not have friends or family pre lined up who want puppies generally because they know that the dog has a good personally, and disposition.... How about we all stop with drawing our own conclusions and assumptions for once and just enjoy the fact that someone loved thier dog enough to go out of the way to do and organize something like this. How many of you would do this...remember assuming makes an a*s out of u and me.

The animal shelters in the United States are overflowing. When people buy dogs/cats from breeders, that means a dog or cat in a shelter will die. We are overpopulated with dogs and cats.
