Post-Mortem Fairy Tales Featuring Dead Animals As Fantasy Characters (part 4)
Whereas some people consider taxidermy to be a cruel, sick hobby we believe it’s a tribute to dead animals. Like a form of art, preserving the beauty of animals. And restoring their dignity. By portraying dead critters as fantasy characters in our surreal, disrupted world called ‘Wounderland’ they become immortal. Instead of being discarded and labeled as waste.
As we’ve been collecting stuffed animals for more than 25 years, most of our post-mortem fairy tales feature animals of our private collection. We also often collaborate with the fabulous taxidermist Adele Morse – mother of the famous
‘stoned fox’ and the awesome mixed media artist Annie Montgomerie who creates curious, unique anthropomorphic dolls.
You can find our Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 on Bored Panda too.
