As I was looking at a photo of Delicate Arch, in Arches National Park, it suddenly occurred to me what our great national monuments need: more bacon!

I came out of a decorated career (OK, I was thrown out) in magazines (articles editor of Playboy; VP/Editor of Men’s Health; editor of BACKPACKER) to sell/write/ghost three NYT bestsellers in the health field. And then the pandemic hit. Bad for health! So rather than write anybody else’s book this time, I wrote and illustrated my own. I also got busy on other fronts, landing a gig combining narrative + drawings + laughs for the Colorado Sun, a high-profile e-newspaper with 20 million+ page-views a year. My recent column was the most opened Sunday 'toon in the Sun's history. Plus I'm a culture/humor/illustrator/animator/commentator with NPR in northern Colorado. Hey, it worked for David Sedaris, and he can't draw a lick!

Hi there! I'm Gabrielė, but you can also catch me responding to Gab, Gabi, Gabert, or Gabe – take your pick. Professionally, I'm the senior community manager over at Bored Panda, helping people share their awesome work and connecting artists with a worldwide audience. Beyond work, you'll catch me traveling, listening to vinyl and diving into movies, art exhibitions, and concerts. I'm a culture buff at heart, always eager to explore and embrace the richness of the human experience.
