Playing Around With Ink On Chinese Paper

Always looking to improve my skills I set out to paint with ink on Chinese paper. I wanted to try something special with the backgrounds, and discovered through trial and error I could accomplish this great effect. I love it.

ps: I absolutely adore crows and ravens.

I love what you've done here. The different shades of grey and black creates a very nice balance where there isn't too much black or white. It feels balanced. I think I have some of my chinese paper, or was it japanese watercolor paper still hanging around. Stuff like this always gets me inspired to work haha.

They are well done , but, color lifts my mood . A monochromatic shade of black does not.

I always work in black and white. In my opinion art doesn't always need to lift moods, right?. Thanks for your comment!
