Pit bulls aren’t inherently dangerous if they’re well kept by responsible owners. If you Google child killed by Golden Retriever you’ll find some instances HOWEVER pit bull and pit bull types are imho a higher risk dog than most, they’re more capable of damage from their body build let alone anything else see https://www.aaha.org/publications/newstat/articles/2019-06/new-study-identifies-most-damaging-dog-bites-by-breed/ for example. The sheer numbers of deaths and injuries caused by pit bulls has over the last few years changed my stance to be far more accepting of a ban on pit bulls - however I would suggest licensing requirements to have ANY dog would be a better idea.

That Snopes article always gets dragged out when someone dares to mention that a pit bull attacked or killed someone. Did you actually read the Snopes article or videos/images of the dogs involved? I did. They were actually Dachshund mixes, most were fairly large (40 lbs), and there were SEVEN of them in a pack. So no, that Snopes article doesn’t prove that Dachshunds are vicious killers.

Are you using the word "tabloid" in its literal definition, which is "a newspaper that is about half the page size of an ordinary newspaper and that contains news in condensed form and much photographic matter", or in its slang definition "sensational in a lurid or vulgar way"? Because as far as I knew, the New York Post is a legit newspaper, not a "tabloid" in the slang definition.
